Instead of returning capital to the shareholders, maybe they should use some of it to invest in a new CFO who knows how to speak. When he speaks in public, he comes off as un-educated.
In over his head....Umm Ya Know!

Let’s be honest, at that level you need to be the total package and our CFO struggles with presentation.
Definitely no background in finance
Mike previously served as CFO at BNY Mellon
Mike joined BNY Mellon in 2016 as CFO for its investment services businesses
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Mike was CFO for Banking at JPMorgan Chase
He also was CFO of JPMorgan’s securities services & U.S. private banking businesses
Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from The American University and an executive MBA from New York University
If There’s a CFO who’s not a finance guy, and. a CTO whose background is all in Finance, maybe they could swap jobs?
He is not a Finance guy. Never has been. Understandably he struggles to present the financials. Question is why was he hired?
I heard the CFO, sounds fine to me. Stop blowing smoke.
Aigh, please.
The fact someone comments on a person who is supposed to be one of the public faces of the company having a lack of public speaking skills makes perfect sense.
Quit trying to make it something it isn’t. Bill Maher is right. Everyone wants to be offended at something and go out of their way to be. Get a f***ing grip, people.
@s-x, 2 uses of the word racist in one comment. I’m actually surprised I noticed the second one. The term is so over used today that my eyes usually roll so far back in my head that I get a headache and don’t want to read anymore.
OP. You must be one of those creepy socially awkward guys who can’t even say hi passing people in the hallway.
Yes, we should go back to the days when we had smooth talkers whose unethical practices nearly destroyed the company.
I am glad you left too. Yoda has some thoughts in anger management for you Darth.
@s-x+1bQLEXIf. Bingo. Wells employees are worthless. All they do is whine and take advantage of Wells welfare system.
So you're basing someone's education and intelligence on their public speaking skills? How id--tic, so how do you view people who have a speech impediment?
The more I read these threads the less I feel bad for those who have been at WF 25+ venting about getting layed off while being hateful. Nothing but a bunch of racists, ableists, sexists, ect. A-holes. Grow up, do better! Then only reason why the culture at WF is horrible is BECAUSE of those who have been at WF for 20/30+ years being bitter.
From my experience at WF the new CEO isn't the issue with Wells, it's the employees who are complacent and ignorant. The amount of sexist, ableist, racist, and trans-phobic comments I have heard from non-managers while at WF was astonishing. I am so happy I left.
Toastmasters certification was apparently not important to the board in the latest round of executive hiring
