DE&I Hiring - White Males Need Not Apply

Early 40s, MBA, Veteran with sr and manager level roles with WFC since 2010 Have been applying for months and getting consistent denials. Previous employees whom are female getting interviews. If you are a white male at WFC right now forget it. This CEO is something else. Go ahead and pull some JPM force me back in the office cr-p while you are at it.

@rnw+1bP63NCi: "more highly qualified people are not being selected because they are white and male"

It sounds like the assumption here is that white and male candidates are by default more highly qualified.

Nice try. The only reason that scenario wasn't mentioned is because even a complete mo--n knows who's getting the job in that situation. They should get the job, I'm just saying that stating the obvious is a waste of time and that's why it wasn't. I didn't mention that water is wet or the sky is blue either.

The problem is that the most qualified person isn't being hired. That's the bottom line. What the company happens to be discriminatory about specifically at any given time doesn't change the fact that it's wrong.

I think the diversity here is measured by JPM not bathrooms

I get it -- there's no way in he-l that a black female could be more qualified, eh?

Swap in "black female" into your story and read it out loud to yourself. Still sound good to you?

Sounds a lot like 'you're great and all, just go get a job somewhere else where they might value you because we already have too many people that look like you 'round here'. Very Jim Crowish.

Here we go again. The whining that confuses mediocrity with excellence. Promotions aren’t participation trophies. Perhaps the fact that you’ve stayed where you are for multiple years should be a clue to your mediocre and performance. Here’s a tip: you aren’t excellent. You’re average. The rest of us who are excellent will excel while you keep whining and blaming everyone else. It’s pathetic. Grow up.

Just like everything else in this country - flavor of the month. DE and I is political and nothing more. And we have so many people in this country that are just "followers" they will line up to support whatever they are told. Meanwhile the politicians and corporations running with the agenda are getting more and more rich.

It's market supply and demand. A bank like WF is oversubscribed on 40+ white males with MBAs. It's doesn't mean you're not qualified or worthy, it means the market for you is now elsewhere.

Sounds like a coin flip situation. Unfortunately, what is actually happening is wrong, and that is that more highly qualified people are not being selected because they are white and male. Unless you are applying for a senior position and worked for JPM in the past, then it's "all good".

Hey, pal. I wrote a poem for you.

Look in the mirror
The problem is you

The OP is correct. Write a letter to EEOC. There is tons of hiring going on based on race, color, and other variables.

@pql+1bP63NCi If it is the opposite is it wrong? It happened all the times and no one cared. And it still happens now.

Let's say people with the exact same excellent credentials are considered for a position in a company seeking diversity. One is a white male, another is a black female. If the company hires the black female, is that wrong?

You’re not getting jobs because interviewers call tell you’re an entitled ja----s, not because wells makes people sit through some slideshow and hires a couple token minorities.

  • if the reality were minorities were being favored over jobs over white men...there would be dramatic minority hiring rate and internal increases in racial ratios...and yet SHOCKINGLY (not) - there isnt... good to know even having your workforce be 4% black IS STILL DAMN high for your liking ...

Minority here.

Don't be fooled. If you see through all the marketing BS and look closely, the only people that benefit from this "Diversity & Inclusion" push, have been white g-y men and white women. Don't blame us, we still struggling out here

lol another WM unable to accept fact that he's too old, too tired, skills too outdated so he has to blame the dread trope that the minorities are unfairly being handed his job. I'd love one of these failed crybabies to show me where all these minorities are being hired cause I aint seeing it.

Another troll trying to get people angry with each other.

Some people spend so much time whining about people taking their jobs when they should be learning some useful skills to make themselves more useful.

Sad.

Possibly you should look at your salary requirements - maybe even consider working for what women make.

Yes it might require some lifestyle adjustments, but something is better than nothing.

“...sr and manager level roles with WFC since 2010...”

And what exactly did you accomplish in those roles, OP? Maybe part of the reason you got them in the first place has to do with your skin tone and plumbing; you just clicked with the white bro dude hiring managers. Not shedding a single tear for you.

@hem+1bP63NCi, the reality is the US us one of the few places where “non-whites” are provided opportunities. The problem is most glorify violence and excess over education and hard work. Easier to point fingers at others than at oneself.

Go to ANY OTHER COUNTRY and the sentiment is the same, only the treatment of said minorities is worse.

Is everyone racist if it’s they’re all in agreement? Please……go back to work fool.

Funny how when white males go to the head of the line it’s because they’re the best person for the job, but when somebody else does it’s because of racism or sexism.

We should always hire the most qualified, as long as it’s you, right bro?
