Been in retail banking fort 20 years…..very successful and am now in a mid senior level role….think next level past DM. Seeing what’s happening in retail and having extreme anxiety about next steps in my career. Reality is I need to get out NOW. Any mid to senior level retail management types out there that can help give me ideas on how to transition. I’m in a large coastal city with lots of opportunities but have no idea where and how to transfer my skills.

Always fun to see tech people popping up to give struggling people that have helped this company make a lot of $ a hard time when their own area of operations is a massive dumpster fire. Tech lives in the most fragile glass house ever. Stop casting stones to save yourself further embarrassment.

I could only imagine that you are a nightmare to work for. I knew someone like this at Bank of America in CTL - band 3 polarizing workaholic who could not make it at Lowes, Duke, Ally, and is now a real estate agent. First name = Karen. I am sure some CLT folks know who I am talking about. Infrastructure space. The woman was a nightmare.
Your experience and skills are pretty much useless in the real world today. Technical? Analytical? Project management? Oh, let me see, clerical and customer service oriented, right? Just retire and save yourself the embarrassment and humiliation of your new found calling.
