How can they even find more people to lay off? Other than the many unnecessary management layers, every team, every department I know is heavily understaffed. I don't understand how they can look at a group of people that is obviously struggling and decide it's appropriate to remove even more people from the equation.

The number of employees that we can see on team works is not a true indicator of how many were laid off. One day it would show 255k the next one it is 256k. They are hiring in bunches off shore so it is hard to see how many employees are in US vs outside if US.
@wcz It better not be survival or you're getting kicked out of the raid!
@snq+1bO1qiW5 I am a dead weight you should admit you are too. Don’t be so sensitive and try to hide it. Don’t be a chicken sh-t coward
One of WF's best and brightest mgrs often said:
Do fewer things in a simpler way with greater impact.
There's a difference between a bunch of people doing busy work that doesn't move the needle vs fewer people focused on meaningful, impactful work.
When we get to the latter, we should stop cutting.
@tuz+ Definitely not an executive. But I appreciate what is being done at that level right now. I work for a living, every day for 30+ years and don't complain because I have choices and options, same as everyone else. When I have been in a less than positive place, I worked to change it and improve my surroundings opposed to bit***ng and making others miserable. Also as I worked hard for my money I care about my investments. As an investor in WF I expect the Executives here to clean up by minimize waste and excess expense. This applies to both internal entities being eliminated as well as many, many unproductive employees. There is still a lot of work to be done.
@dgl said, "As a shareholder and an employee, I say keep going as there is a lot of waste to be cut still."
But meant to say "As a shareholder and an executive, I say keep going as there is a lot of waste to be cut still.
Whatever jobs can be done overseas are the ones they don’t consider a “need”. It makes no sense, pretty sure quality sucks in India & Philippines. No clue how they think reorganizing is a good idea with the amount of unhappy customers out there. You’d think after all they’ve been through in the media, they would make customer service in all areas a TOP priority. The US customers should speak with someone in the US period, end of story. If they were smart they would close buildings and allow everyone to WFH. It’s working, people are more productive and working on days they would usually call out. WFH is a cost saving measure in itself. Other companies are doing it after Covid proved it works. To them, we’re just a number or rather, a salary, they don’t care about anyone, only the bottom line of meeting their budget cuts so they can say they profited billions in the 4th quarter. Guaranteed most of the cuts will happen by the end of the 3rd quarter.
I’m working on leveling up a new hunter in WoW. Level 43 so far, hoping to hit 50 by end of day tomorrow
I don’t work 40 hours per week, 20 max
I work 30 minutes a day max.
Every day I sign on and I have to interact with other teams, I have to go through 3 or 4 useless people before I get to the 1 person who can actually help. It’s been like that for far too long.
WF has too many useless processes and forms that are supported by entire teams who only exist because of that red tape
There are a TON of ppl who are not doing anything critical but pulling in fat salaries for it.
Cut it all. We need to get lean
There are some real chicken-shi! cowards on here, making nasty comments to people. If you think calling people dead weight makes your low self-esteem feel better about yourself, keep it up. I can guarantee you, you wouldn't have the ba--s to say the stuff you post to my face or others' faces, much less handle the response you would get if you did.
"dead weight" = "people other than me"
@OP. What department you are in? I don’t see what you see where I am. Such drama
Marketing is still crawling with people who never have 40 hrs/week worth of work to do and spend their time on outside projects.
There are layers of people who don’t do anything but delegate down to the next layer.
And yet they’re constantly boasting about how they’re safe because they’re so vital.
Need to lay off more and faster.
Still lots of dead weight to lay off. You need to get a grip

I'm part of the problem. If I could volunteer, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
So based on all of the comments (aka rumors) on this site, you would think there were not too many people left at WF. Have those of you posting about who is left and what more can be down sized, taken a look at the company employee list lately. Still over 256k. Down some from same time last year but not nearly as much as you would think based on "everyone being let go". There is still a lot of excess and "fat" at this company. As a shareholder and an employee, I say keep going as there is a lot of waste to be cut still.
It is to carry on with how things have been done, but you can honestly throw all of that in the trash now. All the recertifications and audits are now void since we knocked the support mechanisms and people out.
They have re created a whole new set of MRAs for 2022. I advise all of you to refocus on ONLY mission critical items. Do not try to do all things that make life easier.
Pure mission critical and when they reorg it all into centralized services you will be ready
Corporate Risk is still heavily bloated. I have yet to hear anything about impacts from a RTO/layers/layoffs perspective.
