Agree with others -- it's an excellent service. They can help with your resume and linkedin. And when you get to the offer stage your assigned coach can help you prepare for negotiations. I also agree that the weekly networking group was a major benefit -- you'll build a relationship with those folks, they'll talk you off the ledge when you are feeling hopeless, call you on stuff you are doing that's counter productive, offer suggestions when you are stuck, connect you with people at your target companies, etc. And as others in the group celebrate finding a job, it'll remind you that YOUR DAY WILL COME.

Besides, it's a free service. So I say, make WF pay!

The only thing it costs you is effort. My observation: When someone complains about LHH, the problem is usu with the candidate. Some think these firms exist to find you a job. Not true, they are there to coach and give you the tools to find a job for yourself. If you are ready to put in the effort, I think you'll find LHH a great perk.

Yes, I was laid off 10 years ago by a business firm. The resume guidance was decent but if you have an opportunity to leverage their networking groups of other recently laid off people, do that. Totally worth it. We all helped each other with connections, leads, etc. Several people in my group landed jobs from a referral of someone in that group.

what is LHH? I would just try to use linkedin for new roles, but make sure your resume and skills are ready for this.

They were helpful. I had my resume reviewed and modified and while they really didn't have much to offer in actual job opportunities, they were professional and helped as much as they could.
