NOTARY!!!
We already down to 2 bankers from 5, and everyday we have to deal with annoying, entittled, non value-added customers for notaries. Many doing closing docs at the branch for free? Many don't even bank with WF. We are taking a hit at closing personal line of credit, please take another hit to shut down this nonsene service that ki----g us all.

I agree, it’s such a waste of time. And most of the time customers treat us like cr-p when doing a notary if we ask them questions about their docs. I don’t know why we still do notaries yet close out lines of credit
If it wasn't for notary services 50% of the branches would have no foot traffic.

But HR only looks out for the company not the employee….
You can’t be forced to be a notary. I’m a branch manager and recently had an employee push it to HR that they didn’t want to be a notary and refused. HR said that it was not part of their job description and that they couldn’t be forced to become a notary. When the word came out 3 bankers surrendered their notary commissions. The branch now has no notary publics so problem is solved for us. Just a thought…

Notary services are useful to many. Perhaps it could be restricted to customers only - that might make sense. I've used notary services and I AM a customer with accounts. Otherwise - I'd feel a bit guilty as it does take a bit of time.
Amazon warehouses are hiring pal. No notary there.

I'll be headed to a branch for notary services soon, have a trust I need notarized. WF could charge for this service, that would probably solve the issue, except when employees come in for it!
Easy tell em you can’t do closing docs. That’s what we have been saying for seven years now haha

Tell them to take their business elsewhere then, get yourself laid off and go work somewhere else. Problem solved.
