No one has any info on the regional banking call from last Thursday regarding service managers? All of us are getting the cold shoulder from our managers but something is up.

Sounds like next week is going to be a rough one on the retail side of the house. Good luck everyone!

How many district managers were displaced in California?

I'm wondering if service managers are going to have to do interviews like district managers did and some may be displaced? Not all branches will need service managers after all the displacements. I'm sure they will keep a handful for each district.

My manager said that it does involve the am position and she doesn’t know what she would do without me but it’s confidential and I will find out next week ugh! Can any branch managers shed any light on this?

My branch manager is acting strange too. Extremely distant and said she does not know what she would do without me which was unwarranted. Can someone that was on the call please explain what’s happening?

I am in a daily beginning of the day call with four managers. They were all called in to an ‘emergency meeting’ with our exec, but didn’t say anything about the topic.

I don’t see any update (today is Thursday) other than our new head of HR. Though on our standard team leading call today my manager sounded a little uncertain and off. Though it could have been something totally unrelated.

so in a company with 250k+ people there are probably many urgent meeting happening tomorrow. you provide no info as to your lob or anything else and expect others to provide info.

Let me suggest that some of you should take a break from this forum before the forum and rumours break you before your time.

Wishing the best for you. I have been though the same thing many times. I have seen everything from an immediate meeting with a long time employee followed by a walk out the door and picking up desk items on the weekend to a Christmas week layoff to a Thanksgiving week layoff during my years of working. Take it from someone who had four jobs sent to India and sees it happening here a little at a time. They are following the Chase example and will get the same result. No one cares about the customer anymore.

I am sorry, that definately sounds bad.

I have heard many stories start that way that end in layoff.

My manager has been in hiding for weeks.

I expect my turn is soon

my manager made an appointment with me ( titled something about a specific project we were working on) 3 days before the actual meeting - it was to lay me off.

I worked for a company that had an ice cream and cake party, to announce they would be cutting staff and reorganizing.
