I was amused by someone's post about a newbie who had just arrived and started immediately complaining about the atmosphere here. I don’t know if that particular person quit afterwards, but I know one young person who quit after two months and another who quit after only a month.
Is this a new trend, that Verizon can’t keep new people even for a few months?

We have a new hire who is naive and I guess happy he got a part time job, the first few days I guess they tell Them to hang out in the store before the virtual training begins, well in stead of shadowing a rep, he walks towatd the customers and actually starts communicating with them( he s never worked wireless so he knows Nothing) So he helped a nasty woman who's phone is past warrantee and still owes quite a bit on her phone,by the time I got to her she said "I have to tell my story tou again I just told him"! I gave her the options that she didn't like because she wouldn't go to a phone fix store or wouldn't put her hand in her pocketbook " well she left and he continued till we got busy,I waited till he greeted a csr and someone walked in behind them who I helped the other rep was busy. So the csr he greeted stood with him for 45 mins and the guy was fuming!I see VZW is hiring warm bodies off the street.
A new hire yesterday went to lunch and never came back. One reason was he helped a person whose AOL mail wasn't working on their iPhone Because of the over the top aggressivess of this entitled person it intimidated the new hire. I went over when the customer started screaming, and told her to download the AOL app.To make a long story short, Verizon does a terrible job in training these new hires on what really goes on in their locations.
When you don’t have the element of individual commision in a sales job and realize everything you sell makes virtually zero difference in your check this is what happens. Combine that with part time hours and the job is not very valuable or rewarding. These are not opinions but FACTS.
Had 2 quit this morning and our recs for previous positions have been open for 2 months and not filled yet. It’s starting to get ugly. No one is happy in the workplace and our systems aren’t helping with that. We lost so many sales this weekend from system issues that still happen.

6 part timers have quit already here in ET . By the way the district chat looks like a total ghost room no one ever post wins anymore . Very sad
Wow Did they really hand in their denim after only a few months of realization that everything from our commission structure to our POS systems suck? Maybe the current employees morale is plaguing the retail stores because they know that chief executive Hans has every incentive in the world to be let go? What is it $40million if he's "let go"? How many times does one have to re-process an order on POS before they get to a point of insanity? By the time our company fixes an issue, there is a new one and by the time they fix that one to cause another, another part timer has handed in their 2 week notice.
We have had 3 quit so far. Still trying to hire....these "part time" applicants are the Highest Quality.
