Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Here’s an idea…

Regarding those who are using this forum to make political statements to start arguments - Why even engage them? Why give them what they want? Just ignore them. No comments, no up votes or down votes. Man, that’ll pi$$ them off. Sometimes you can have the last word by not giving any words at all.

@lch what a horrible and clunky analogy. now you're starting to sound like the annoying woke try-hards.

@qce Religion is religion and politics is religion. I'm not anti anything but being force fed constant unwanted intrusion into my belief system.

If I speak of "the group think" you don't understand the impact to me.

If I say the Christian bombards me you understand.

If I tell you the LG+ group pushes onto me via Wells management, I'm told to get out of the company.

No Christian in my workplace speaks of their religion. No, Wells doesn't push Christian to me. But yes, their other religion which is against my faith is in my face daily.

I know what it is to respect others. I wish the bank to respect me.

@sbu Now the claim is that WF is making you take pro-christian diversity courses? lol

Allah again here. The response just after mine is typical. I'm to be only respected if I tolerate "the Christian's" 400th attempt.....and more.... to shame me away from that which is ingrained in my heritage, practice, home, tenets and Quran.

If I speak of my truth, I'm to be rejected.

It is not enough for me to respect and not discriminate against "the Christian's" or his beliefs. It isnt enough even to give a nod and "good for you!" No...it is not enough.

I must take the masters course, the daily drip, the constant modeling, the email, the imaging someone poured over painstakingly to create the cheerleading of the day.

It isn't enough for me to treat another as same, for the company is training employees that I'm not of value.

@ihn I don't care about the d-mb diversity initiatives. The "woker than thou" people are annoying. I'm just sick of the crybaby bemoaning diversity constantly around here, while responding to himself pretending to be a different person as if it weren't obvious.

There is more interesting things to talk about around here.

Great analogy Allah.

Also to other poster, why would you want the diverse employee (by very definition someone who is different than you) to leave?

We claim diversity balanced by rrspectful discourse but ypu have discounted many of the attempts they are trying to tell you what the issue is. It isnt what you think it is, and that might just be your bias, not theirs?

No disrespect intended. Seriously think about whether you believe in the principles of diversity or if you just want a segment of a populace to go away, then ask yourself how that is in fact any different than what you are accusing them of doing.

@gwj Hopefully your exit comes soon. Good luck finding any corporate environment that isn't similar in 2021.

You don't need to announce it through. Just go.

Analogy time! Muslim employee works at company. Can't read business news at work because company is constantly weaving in Christian messaging and is sending scripture verses to employees direct email. NONE OF IT has much to do with the business the company is in.

Now, Muslim employee has choices: Ignore it. Think about the intolerance of management. Wonder why management is a bully. Wonders why management can't balance agendas. The list goes on and on.

I don't bring my religion into the work place. I don't force it on others. It is my practice AND I don't want to be discriminated against for it.

The difference between me and the bank: I'm emotionally mature enough not to constantly act like the people in our Communications Dept. I'm mature enough to realize there is a diverse employee base around me that doesn't need my lectures.

If it continues at the current rate, I'm taking myself elsewhere.

If you think this is a discussion on biased hatred to a poor helpless group I would encourage you to browse team works.

People dont care if you ARE g-y.

They care if you force them to say its ok when it goes against everything they believe and wrap punishmemt around it.

Allow them to live in peace as you ask them to do for you.

It is a major injustice to people to misunderstand this and classify them as deranged.

If that was too complex for you: leave us alone. I dont want you to tell me what to do anymore than you would want a conservative to tell you what to do.

@jzf It is not the "progressives," as annoying as some of those folks can be, trying to turn every discussion here into a talk about how much they hate homosexuality and hearing about genitals or minorities or whatever.

For someone who supposedly hates it so much, they certainly are obsessed with what the gays are doing. The g-y people I know don't even spend this amount of time and energy thinking about, posting about, and obsessing over what other g-y folks are doing with their genitals.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks

I am igmoring it for sure when I can, but it has definately made me far less sympathetic to these fringe groups that have somehow got the megaphone.

Don't tell me what to think, don't make me say I think something is right when I don't.

Shut your cake ho-e, and just be kind and stay in your lane.

Anything else and apparently according to your debate points, we are not to be tolerated, talked to or listened to.

Ergo, an enemy. Message received progressives. I am ready to push back hard along with a lot of other people unless you stop pushing me first.

@ouy, no you dont get to opt out of THAT silly.

It is for you own retraining, er I mean good.

IT's so nice to have thought police to help correct these subjective "problems" of calling right wrong and vice versa.

You mean I get to ignore the cr-p shoved down my throat every time I try to be a banker and do money things? You mean I get to ignore the constant barrage of messaging in my inbox and on Teamworks? You mean, I don't have to sit through another meeting where some social cause that has NOTHING to do with my work or product is forced into the conversation all why the bank floats were on the cusp of axing your job and area because...(choose reason of the day)

Looks at you with eyes rolled and knows you're planted here and don't know a thing about being in the average ranks.

If I down vote @ggr’s down vote, does that make it an up vote for non-down votes?
