Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Back on topic ...

What layoffs are scheduled for this month?
I heard no more until 4th quarter, but my source has been known to be wrong.

Anybody know anything?

Anyone know if WIM Operations are part of the June 24 cleanup? I know we are overstaffed with a lot of redundancy, so expecting the axe to drop anytime.

@dpw+1b9cBXrw your post attempting to de-affirm something nonsense. The simple fact that small scale layoffs are occurring continuously does not eliminate the forthcoming reorg and subsequent layoff of us plebes towards the end of this month. When you lack accurate information it is better to not say anything lest you run your mouth and end up looking like a fool on an anonymous message board.

EOM June there are planned reorgs which will absolutely resulted in overloaded groups meaning some of us will be 86’d. Good luck all.

@1gcc+1b9cBXrw have to agree with you. A few years out of school you’re in the sweet spot where everybody wants you. You’re experienced enough to add value but not enough to be super expensive. Recruiters should be beating down your door.

And maxed out credit cards? Unless it’s because of a health emergency it’s stupid at any age.

Odd to call everyone else “ You losers can take the safe path (not really safe one here though); I am going to spend all my hours planning my escape” when you’re the one who maxed out your credit card debt; so have to work here. With a few years out of school you should have the world by the tail.

Why not ask all your friends who have cutting edge jobs, making an impact what you’re doing wrong? If indeed you are ready to take a chance to move to a position that you want. They’re your friends and probably know you well enough to tell you what you’re doing wrong. These should be great years for you.

@bcu thanks for sharing that you have direct knowledge of them, but not any hint of where they will affect.

That's like saying someone famous visited your house, but you're under an NDA so you can't say who it was or show any evidence of it having happened.

fire the Infosec Patch Master! Someone tell him now they have automated tools to do this, so he doesnt have to install patches manually server by server. Also this isnt an infosec position, this is help desk.

The Technology area at the end of June rumor is nonsense.

Tech layoffs have been underway for a while now. Every week more are Zz'd.

Your imagination must not be very good if clicking a mouse and typing a bit while you do "fake work" qualifies as the 'worst job' you can imagine.

for me, i work in a sh---y job but have credit card debt; so have to work here until i find my dream job. I am only few years out of school, worst job i could have ever imagined working here, all my friends have cutting edge jobs, making an impact. Here is a bunch of order takers. i am ready to take a chance to move to position I want.

You losers can take the safe path (not really safe one here though); I am going to spend all my hours planning my escape; I am doing this like my life depends on it, its that demoralizing here with stupid work that is fake

they will let the highest paid workers go, and keep the cheaper ones; no one cares about if skills are strong or not, this will allow your manager to have the # of workers necessary to stay in management role

Anyone saying "no more until the 4th Q" doesn't know what they are talking about, OR they just mean in a certain LOB it group. I have first hand knowledge of Q3 layoffs. Not a huge number of them, but they are definitely happening in Q3.

I have also heard the end of June for technology areas. Can anyone in the know let us in on which areas this might be?

You are on a need to know basis. Senior management has decided you do not need to know. The more head games played, the more you are likely to get frustrated and quit. This is their goal.

no plan, its sort of a last minute deal! Look at books, if bad , can another 20k, try to get people to leave with pushing them back in office and to relocate

LOL, there are lay offs everyday and will be for a year. Once again, there are no set days. People in my buildings are getting let go every week. Numbers don't lie and either do the ex admins.
