When I'm staying up as long as I can after a holiday because I'm still dreading going to work the next day and I don't want my time off to end, I think it's time I found a new job. It really says something about the current state of WFC and how it treats us that even three days are not enough to recharge my batteries and relax.

Says more about you then it does the company you work for.

Good advice. Some people are just letting off some steam, and I don’t hold it against them if it helps them.
@qyz, I agree. I wanted to buy a home and I did end up on the chopping block.
Your post should make others feel they're blessed to even have a job instead of constantly complaining.
He-l, it's not easy out there. I know.
Not exactly on topic, but I'm sad because I want to buy a house and I'm pretty sure I'll be on the chopping block on an upcoming round of layoffs. It's hard to be optimistic about the future when the job situation is fragile.
@dfi+1b8XKTzf. Don’t quit. Don’t whine
I wish people would stop saying “just quit and get a better job”. At my salary/career level, I’m being very careful about my next move, networking and spending part of the week getting my skillset up. It’s called playing the long game. I could quit tomorrow and make a lateral move for the same title/pay/tasks but I generally feel that a job switch should be to something, and not away from something.
@vot. So you talk to your friends at Wells and you still need to come here for info? Ok.. whatever!!
Must be nice to be the people commenting as they've never experienced toxicity and work-induced stresses that harm your entire mental state. Consider yourselves fortunate.
I've moved on, am no longer with a bank, and am quite thrilled to be where I am. Before anyone jumps down my throat about why I'm here, I come here to keep up to date with the situation, and I also talk to some of my old team still stuck there (and a few overjoyed with their recent layoff packages in technology) because they are my friends and I give a damn about how they're doing.
Want more than 3 days? Leave!
You people have to quit or you will have deep depression. If you are that unhappy no job is worth it. Leave and your family will thank you
3 day weekend? What's that. I worked 2 of the 3 days. Must have been nice to have 3 off.
Get out of there as if the building were burning all around you…..
I guess it just needs to be said, If you dislike it here so much go get a new job! There's tons of job postings constantly and life is too short to stay somewhere you hate so much. Go do something about it! Before I get dragged, I'm being honest and trying to give the OP a wake up call. I just had one myself recently. Been here over a decade and after years and years of fire drills and feeling constant pressure I finally asked myself why I was pushing myself so hard for so little? Literally the hard work is expected but when it comes time to a bonus, promotion or raise, you get told it wasn't enough. So I'm done with going the extra mile. I'll do the job I was hired for, and still do a great job, but I'm done working crazy long hours, done working on the weekends and done caring so damn much. They don't care about me! And as soon as a better offer comes along, I'm out. Until then, I'm not complaining as I make good money but I won't be a door mat. I encourage others to do the same.
Oh my god, yes. I spent all wknd job searching. Its so difficult to login some days. This place is draining.
According to various sources, only approximately 45-50% of employees are satisfied with their jobs in US. When you ask if they are happy returning to work from long weekends or vacations, I am sure not many of them are. The truth is that many of us work because we have to, and for no other reason.
I feel like this with any job.
Yes. I’m right here with you. Don’t want to go to sleep because I don’t want tomorrow to come.
And I know I would feel the same if I took two weeks off. Or two months.
