Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wells Fargo Morale?

I understand morale is overall down the toilet, but how is it across the company in groups.

@cwf clearly was a typo and poster meant jobs. Hilarious how many people on here are snarky about autocorrect fails when you can clearly discern the point of the post..

This lack of transparency is designed that way. Those at the top want people to get frustrated and quit. That means less headcount and costs, more bonuses for them. People are not valued, period.

There’s a lack of communication and transparency from the top which has impacted morale in groups I’ve worked in the last 2 years or so. Doesn’t mean folks aren’t still doing their Jon’s but location strategy and potential layoffs are impacting majority negatively

Morale on our team is definitely lower than it was six months ago. However, that has more to do with our roles slowly changing from being hands-on technically adept server/middleware engineers to slowly being pushed more towards documentation and and CR police.

Fine. WFH gives everybody the time and flexibility to concentrate on outside hustles and projects. Double dipping is the life. It will be hard to go back, but our manager will work it so we can still WFH most of the time. He’s got a life too.

Why do you want to know? Asking that kind of question here and expect an unbiased answer? Get real.

My entire team is looking to leave. New micro-manager is in way over their head and threatens us daily. Our directives are impossible to meet, which makes us look bad, thereby make manager look bad. Yet we are somehow being held responsible? If you attempt to right-size or question the objectives, you are seen as a trouble-maker. Not cool.

It’s as good as you want it to be or as bad as you want it to be. Your pick

Morale is good, get paid on time, pop a cold one, move on with your life. Enjoy life for a change.

Awful. I am on the edge of quitting this and taking a few months off. There is no support, no TM engagement, we are all robots.
