People are not happy at WFC, I can understand that. But why is that unusual? Who is ever truly happy working at a bank? Did you really dream about becoming a loan officer (or whatever) when you grow up? You go to work, you do what you need to, you get paid. That's it. Lower your expectations folks, and you might get through your day easier.

Short answer: no. Longer answer: depends what position you're in (few are rewarding AND fulfilling).
I work for WFC IT and I just love it. Yes, I know that we're pretty much lagging behind in technology but I still enjoy working at WFC. I had options to accept offers from other banks and other big companies but I chose WFC.
I think you mean is anyone truly happy working.
I was happy to content (depending on role and assignment) for 17 years working for WF. The last 2+ years I would say I was unhappy to miserable. I held out for the displacement package carrot that was being dangled. Ultimately, I decided my self worth and mental health had to be my first priority and I left at the first of the year.
I miss some of my co-workers but not the transformation Wells Fargo is making to be Wachovia. The migration of the mindset from a midwestern/west coast mentality to an east coast philosophy where there are no team members, just employees, no more open door but layers of disconnected senior management that does not care to know their staff, and on and on....
"Truly happy" here. Looking for forward to some downvoters from truly miserable souls that can't tolerate anyone's happiness.

There is a difference between working at a bank branch and working in a actual office. I never thought working in a branch is good, working in a office setting is so much better. My advice is to get a college degree in STEM/Quant/Fintech, get an internship through their programs, and they will offer you a six digit salary out of college. This is what I have done and I love it.

I worked for a smaller bank in my earlier career and I loved it.
