3 No leadership, a corporate doormat, and has creating meaningless tasks to try and look good down to a science. One of the worst I’ve ever had. He gets 3 points for being relatively friendly.
- 10 They lies all the times.
8 now, last was a 6
- 5
My last boss would be rated a -10
Had a 10 mgr but he got fed up and left a few months ago. Moved under a new mgr who needed more bodies to show 7 ftes under her. No interest in learning our work or managing us.
Mine is top shelf and so is my manager's manager. After that, it gets a bit wobbly, though.
0 - terrible
@1dwy+1b1pH6e7 true dat. they have them folks so scared and they cannot do anything but be a tech secretary and open tickets to other groups. that place has been run into the ground by our senior leadership.
rate those Tech Conn managers folks. They ride their employees azzes to get their azzes off the phone and onto the next call (20 min) otherwise they have to explain why.... to their manager.
0 Worst manager I’ve ever had. BY FAR
5-doesn’t inspire and cares as much his paycheck pays him.
- Fearful and weak. I’d give him a zero, but he gets two points because he’s not evil, just a milquetoast.
I’d give mine an 8, he does enough to keep us apprised of anything rolling downhill and has enough knowledge of what we do to support us. My 2-up is brand new yo the bank, but so far i like him too. Too early to rate properly tho

Can I rate a -10?
If our two levels of leadership had been doing their jobs, we wouldn't be soon to be reorged out of the company.
Overall, I liked my manger. When the pandemic started however, things changed and the political influences and divide became evident. Add to that another branch consolidating with ours made matters worse as the employees and that manager were followers of "Q" and all the conspiracy nonsense.
As an older worker with pre-existing conditions, I received ZERO support and was eventually 'displaced/fired'. As inconvenient as it's been as well as the financial challenges of finding work, it was a blessing. I don't miss WF nor any of the people. Worst culture and experience of my working career!
10, but the ones before were zeros or less than zero.
Prior to this reorg garbage I would have given my direct a 9, maybe 10. Unfortunately, the reorg has led to working to preserve staff that are buckling under the pressure so I'd have to lower it to a 7.
I get it, they've got things going on in their personal life that are making it difficult, but their increased risk is a danger to the group as a whole. I don't want to go down because of someone else's mistakes and weakness from my manager.
A two. Zero support. No one on ones. Where are the leaders?!
0 = Wells Fargo Senior Manager/VP has 31 people in his team. He is an overpaid, lazy and incompetent manager. He is cheap, manipulative corporate politician self-serving for his own benefits all the way to the top. He takes all credits and blames his employees for problems.
9 great sense of humor and she's got b.alls
- No one is perfect, but they are fantastic in so many ways.
I say 0 too,
8 manager and leader
0 if I can.. if only he listened
4 - Weak and won't stand up and lead.
9, smart guy, provides guidance, great mentor and encourages upward movement.
8 - My direct is great. Has ADD and forgets a lot - would be a 10 without that.
But the chain of command above him gets progressively colder, more out-of-touch, less available, more political, less knowledgeable about the work, more conniving, more Glad-Handing, more self-serving all the way up to the top.
He leaves me alone and doesn't make me do much, so it would be a 10, if I wanted to be a lazy underpaid s-b.
I came to this post after completing my new hire packet for [competitor] who is giving me a two-title bump over my Wells role and about 70% more compensation, in a high visibility role. If Wells had compensated me fairly - ever - or given me a promotion - ever (they tried to get me into management - sc--w that), I might have stayed.
5 = middle of the road, nothing to write home about
