My avg commission was about $2000-$2400 a month, now with team commission its been $600-1100...

Yeah, my 'team' sucks why am I working hard to pad my co-workers pockets?

I wont lie I stopped caring once others were responsible for my paycheck.

Someone needs to make a tic tok with all the things Verizon does and expose the 17 insurance. I could just imagine it blowing up and all the customers asking for the $6 insurance instead.

No not all the top performing reps did that, I can say I worked with a rep who had RIS score in the 90s all the time, and was a team player. I will say he was never sitting in the back, always was at the door when he was not with a customer. Also did not slam accounts with c––p, had very few issues with customers with billing questions. He would have is own que of return customers.

Then again I know the bad ones. But don't say all of the top reps were that way.

Only thing top proformers did was slam and cherry pick customers.

100% accurate posts below. This is why the pulse surveys are never as bad as what this website makes working in a retail store out to be. You now have about 70% of solutions specialists making the same or more money then before covid. Most of the negative comments on here come from those other 30%. Verizon rolled with the percentages and won.

So true, the button feeders are making more now. Most of the top reps have left, or will soon.. (or have given up) now you have the people who were never good at their jobs being put under pressure from management (most of who were low or mid sales people) to push and stack qoutes.

It is solicalism in it's purists form.

I was in the top 1% the last several years as well but you must take our opinions with a grain of salt. The commission changes made our class just a bit more bitter then others so of course we are going to expose all the c––p now. In fairness one thing nobody ever talks about is that the bottom 40% in the company prior to Covid are actually making out better now. That’s righttt...several thousand reps making more money now then before and these were always considered underperforming employees. Oh the irony.

Part of the defense for getting rid of the old comp structure was to remove the elements of slamming. HA ! Now we are all being coached into slamming VZP, VZHome, High Tier Data ( which 99% of customers don’t need) and pull through products.

Ha ha now I know why I had a customer yesterday asking for the $6 insurance they read about.

The most ironic thing is my incompetent management told them it is not offered anymore.. customer went on app and found it, confronted manager, she told them it was on online only offer.. the lies keep on coming.

Yup same for care/ tech side of the company. Seems like my supervisor could care less if I tell the customer their phone is gonna sprout wings and fly away as long as I pitch VZprotect. I had a customer sobbing to me about a horrible mugging she went thru and her phone was stolen. She already had TMP but my supervisor was listening live for OE adds and sent me a message like sell her vzprotect for the digital secure feature since someone stole her phone and she didn’t have it password protected and someone may have all her info. Im like yeah Digital secure will help against identity theft (sarcasm).

My question is how many resources are they going to put into finding out who this whistle blower is. KB has to be having one of her epic meltdowns that many have felt.

KB is the cancer of Verizon.

The insurance is out of control. $17 per/m to cover a phone that had a DP of $7 p/m.

This is great. Everyone should contact Chris Matyszczyk the guy who wrote this article, he needs to know it is not 1 or 2 stores.

VZ Home needs to be exposed!

The cloud charges...

I'm interested if Verizon replies to his request to know if the RIS scores have gone up. We all know that store are managing scores, also the more importantly how the company has changed the target many times. Making payout harder to get.

Chris need to know it is not just retail who don't open accounts to avoid bad scores.

The person who exposed Verizon is a hero. More people need to. I think most of us don't like how we are being told to lie and smash accounts.
