I am a QA Associate whose QA manager was laid off in Nov 2020. Then, I was moved under Engineering manager( Dev team)
I have automation testing experience and started automating test scripts
Just checking if anyone else has similar scenario and if their title was changed to software engineer?
I am very happy with my work and looking for any advise to save my position at Wells Fargo

If i had to advice you, i would tell you to make sure and volunteer for all activities your new mgr mentions. Take it upon yourself to just go out and start researching/understanding whatever is brought up in team meetings, 1-1, etc. Hope this advise helps.
It’s probably better to ask for advice than advise. People will know what you mean, which always helps.
If you were QA, you are either an End User Testing Analyst if your folks don’t do automation yet or a Software Engineer.
Yes, title got changed to software engineer from QA Analyst and now my manager wants me to take up development tasks and what not.
