Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Anyone moved to GS, MS or JPM after WF?

Just curious and want some advices. Do they value the experience at WF? What is your advice? Is it difficult?

Thank you in advance.

@1meo+1agXLIkJ Incorrect, I received an offer from JPMC although I accepted a job elsewhere. A former colleague accepted an offer from them, although she lasted just a year. So it does happen.

JPM is worse than WF. Shooting for 80% offshore, they already have 70%.

JPMC won't hire from Wells Fargo

@ldg+1agXLIkJ Think you really need an inside person to help float your resume to the top of the pile. Otherwise it’s nearly impossible to get noticed at companies w lots of applicants.

They're so hard to get in. Sent so many resumes and don't hear back.

I’m sure it depends on your function. I left for a regional bank (and turned down one of the Big 4) and couldn’t be happier.

Those shops value you if you can bring clients

No. GS is a sweatshop. Horrible culture. Big banks are not the answer.
