Leader chopped?

So who’s next from DMI to be chopped? I see lot of f-t in here. Already most of the external consultants who did the real job are gone.. lol! Only left with people who are good at fist fighting in local pubs.. hahahaha
It’s astonishing how much money WFC has squandered away on failures
Ike DMI/data lake. The list extends well beyond this group , WFC has not been good stewards of capital
DMI is doomed. Most will be reabsorbed (read, soon to be fired) into their LOBs with some governace hanging on. Ramnik Bajaj was fired Friday and some new clown from BofA is stepping in (anyone have first hand opinion of Brian Gibbons?). The Lake is all but dead 500 million squandered) and IT re—sas clueless as ever. But now now Sandra Nudelman is stepping in to save the day (LOLOLOL).
What happened to ZM? Why did he leave? I don't recall seeing an internal announcement.
This nimrod who fancies himself a poet should take a few literature and poetry classes and see if he can grasp the basics of rhythm and rhyme. The literature side could possibly even give him more topics.
There's a data arms race right now. Jamie Dimon is pumping billions into its capital spend over at JPM, same with BoA. CITI was fined billions for issues.
What a freaking waste of time and resources.
new leader was announced - external hire. DMI is not going anywhere.
No - EVP level leader leaving next month. Also, I was told DMI was funded for 3 years only
Im not surprised. I agree the potential loss is huge but they suffered from a blended strategy with no vision to speak of.
You cant blend data analysis, engineering, science and management like this without clear divisions of labor and even clearer benefit statements for the lines you are trying to work with.
The entire org feels like an optional hackathon black box.
The Data Management & Insights leader left a year ago. What just happened was the interim leader left. Multiple interim leaders at the top and 1-down haven't helped. An operating model between the LOBs, tech, PMO, and DMI has never been established. Everyone has been drifting around for 2+ years just trying to deliver on what they can.
Now DMI is moving into LOBs. Moving what should be an enterprise function into silos. In another 2 years we'll revisit the lake and/or cloud, then then back to running it like we own it. The cycle goes on.
Happy to have a job though!
DMI was a great idea that never worked which is a shame. I am told that a lot of the employees will be reabsorbed into the LOBs. RIP Dead Sea (aka Data Lake) and all those PowerPoints to nowhere
if they are chopping that, sounds like this is end of Wells Fargo. Data is critical to companies today, those without good data management/AI strategy companies will fail!
You all better start looking, these people are lost and no way to help them!
I know a few old co-workers in DMI, both said they were looking external and couldn't wait to get out. Kind of sad as well both are very smart, will be a huge loss when they leave.
yeah..so much for that asset cap being lifted....
Data Management
What is DMI?
