Get ready for the office

Pennsylvania went from mandatory WFH where possible to "strongly encouraged" WFH over the weekend. With no official barrier anymore, I wouldn't be surprised if we get the word to return to the office sometime really soon. I know some people will be happy with this but I'm not one of them.

The company is still at 20% work from the office. NOBODY is coming back before Labor Day, and even that is just a target goal that will probably be moved again.

With only 18 5 percent in the usa vaccinated they ..we ould be foolish to send us back . Not even close to herd immunity! As of 6 a.m. EDT April 4, a total of 61,416,536 Americans had been fully vaccinated, or 18.5 percent of the country's population.11 hours ago

I prefer the hybrid work model, similar to the pre-pandemic work model with the exception that WFH is generally accepted and doesn’t require an email to your boss. Not sure about anyone else but the video conference calls are painful. It takes forever to setup because calendars are blocked, prep for every meeting, email follow up actions, etc. With in person, you can just walk up to the person and chat or offer to buy lunch. That’s just me though.
