Went to a branch for notary service and was asked if I had a pen. The representative said good as the bank doesn't allow them to use pencils and pens for security reasons. I wondered what the f&#%. Is Wells Fargo still trying to spin lower level employee's were the cause of the banks fraud problems talk about upper management in denial. Lol nobody believes it so I guess if upper management keeps repeating a lie they think eventually everyone will believe it. The only problem I see with this is if upper management still has their writing instruments what difference does it make since they were the instigator of the fraud to begin with.

Probably due to COVID safety concerns. If Wells provided pens and pencils for customers to use, you'd probably be complaining that they are allowing pens/pencils to be shared and fostering the spread of COVID. Either way, you would find something to complain about.
Apropos of nothing, I've had to buy my own office supplies for years. My manager is in a different state and none of my coworkers are here. The other groups onsite don't want to share with me.
"use pencils and pens for security reasons" - you know that there's this covid thing right? Not having pens available is pretty common these days from my experience.
Reminds me of a bank advertisement from a while back. Can't find the video, or I'd post it, but the gist of it was, "what do bank vice presidents actually do?". Then, they cut to a scene of two "vice presidents quibbling over whether they should chain the pens to the customer desk with thicker ball chain or thinner ball chain.
