Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

If they want me out they’re going to have to fire me

Recently I’ve been seeing a lot more people leaving Wells Fargo on their own. Longtime employees, established workers who are leaving for jobs at smaller banks or even for jobs that pay less than. Some are even taking jobs in other industries. Obviously, none of us are happy with the increased levels of unnecessary stress that the management has put on our shoulders or with the increased micromanagement that is present in the last couple of years.
Clearly, this is a systematic effort to drive the long-timers out and I’ve decided I will not give them that satisfaction. I have updated my resume, I’m constantly on the lookout for better job opportunities, but until that time comes I am staying no matter what amount of pressure is put on me.

All the years of mismanagment and under management now constitutes an emergency on your part. That is why there is so much unnecessary stress and micromanagent. Culture is rotten to the bone.

People leaving are those who found new roles. It’s too risky to leave a job without having another one to go to.

Do you feel this is your company? this belongs to the shareholders.

Maybe the longtimers want a better opportunity and sick of the obsolete workplace. I am not so obsessed with this place, you need to treat it as a place you do work mon-fri and nothing more. Things that cant get done due to only a 40 hour work week the managers or execs can figure it out, not my problem and leave it at that

I agree with 99% of what you said OP, except that it's executives that are foisting c––p on you, not management. Believe me. Your manager is just a messenger. They could refuse, but the higher ups would just get rid of them to and find someone that would pass on the word.
