April 1st has come and gone

  • and nothing f—ng happened. You had people here swearing up and down that HUGE changes were coming. For weeks. The same "we're getting rid of commissions! The writing has been on the wall forever!" posts there always are in here. These posters are nothing but a bunch of scare tactic, the sky is falling, chicken littles. You have zero true insider information. I should have listened to the employee subreddit as it pertained to this page. "the layoff has correctly predicted 30 of the last 2 major company changes about Verizon". Call me a company cuck. Say that I'm someone from corporate monitoring this page. IDGAF. I won't be back. These posters are all toxic af, and have serious impacts on employees mental health.

Part time open enrollment is happening this month... trying to trim more fat. We were given the expectation that changes would happen through the summer, and look at how much has already changed. I agree with the others that posted, if you don’t see it, it’s because you haven’t been paying attention.

Wow I'm amazed how your mental health has been affected but something that the average person can see is happening right in front of their face. it is clear that major changes are happening because they have been happening. This is an online board full of rumors that is true. But if you go back to the original post about April it did not say April 1st it said major changes coming in April. And even if it doesn't happen in April it will happen and it will happen when it happens.

Do you really think that the company is going to have a few stores that operate with a multi-gm? Let you some logic here it is very likely that what's happening is they slowly roll it out they work out the kinks and then it goes Nationwide. Of course it appears that this poster has his company blinders on. As one of the other reply stated do you really think Verizon actually cares about you? They care about their bottom line and each and every employee affects that bottom line. In multiple call centers tech support and even core the jobs have been given to contractors. contractors have much less of a financial liability on the company. No health insurance no disability no liability insurance etc. boost traditional outsource jobs are moving into the retail element they are called indirect resellers. Why would the company put seasoned corporate district managers in charge of the indirects. The answer is to make the indirect's operate in a manner that can handle the demand Nationwide with a much lower corporate store footprint. The same theory a reseller is a contractor which cost the company less money.

So if you think that an analysis of what is happening is toxic then I surely pity your life. Someone with logic and who can extrapolate what has happened in the past can see the obvious. you might not be able to pick the date because you don't have a crystal ball but the momentum is in full force. So if your mental health is affected by the concern that your company might lay you off you probably want to start looking for more stable job. Verizon especially in retail is not a stable job. the way salaries and compensation has been changed multiple times in under a year. The way the company keeps telling you how important you are. if you have mental strain and worry about so-called rumors do your research look into Hans vestberg. The man who single-handedly destroyed Ericsson. The man who was investigated by the swedish government for questionable business practices. He is a henchman Verizon brought him in for one purpose and one person only it wasn't 5G it was shrinking cost and shrinking the company and growing profits.

So any of the Verizon cheerleaders out there the brainwashed soldiers. Denying that changes are going to happen when as many others have pointed out the changes have happened are happening and will continue to happen.

the changes are happening in plain sight if you choose not to look at them you are the problem you're the biggest hindrance to your future. Take a look at what new solutions specialist are being hired at. Take a look at the job requirements that have been significantly reduced. Verizon's goal is to turn its Frontline employee base into a McDonald's alternative. you will be a clerk you will help people use a kiosk you will give orders to people that they process online and really that's it. It's happening now and the people who have been here for years are extremely overcompensated for that job role.

All I can say is wake up. If you've become comfortable you are your enemy.

You are an id–t if you think 1 day coming and going without changes is going to stop the changes that have been happening for the last year.

The board has good and bad information, sadly a small group think everything thing is going to be 100% correct or it is all wrong. It is never going to be like that. Changes are coming, changes have happened. Stores around the country are testing out multi location GMs, come June ( this has been officially communicated to employees that they will pool reps and manages to work multiple locations, just like the GM. How is commission going to work in this situation?! Something has to change.

Verizon is not your friend. Just like real life is someone is always telling you over and over they are your friend you have to be suspicious. Verizon is out to make money, you cost money.

You should not read this board like it is a biblical passage. You should be smart and breakdown the changes that have happened, how things have shifted, the way the leadership is acting. It is called being observent. Do you think touchless and self service is going away? Do you think the company cares is people spend money without you the human? All the contractors working now who are cheaper. Reseller locations who take so much liability off Verizon.

Wake up. Do not think 1 day passing is going to make the train of changes stop.

The toxic people are the ones who close their eyes and hope everything will be ok.

Thanks for the info “Krista”. Or is it “Hans” himself? This abuse has to stop. Verizon has been hiding from media portraying only good stuff, but it ain’t true. Toxic work environment will soon b exposed and people behind it too. People only post stuff here bcz they SEE it happening. Nobody literally nobody has time & efforts to waste posting on here if it ain’t true. And btw u called it out urself that these posts on here aren’t true, but what abt team commission which was talked abt here, did it hppn or no? Did the bloodbath just a month and a half ago hppn or no? Are people complaining abt the nee RIS model stores r following, that hppnd or no? Get a life besides.......u already know what.
