Other than not being able to find a new job yet, is there anything else that's keeping you here? I'm sure the majority of employees are not looking to leave so there must be something. We know it's not pay, benefits, upward mobility, or the countless other things that have been repeated here ad nauseam. So what is it?

Complacency most likely, and being taken for granted.
The pay! In the Bay Area Wells pays very well. AA4 making 90k. Nuff said.
Stay because it is best technology of any company that I have worked for in my career. Always on top of it. Interesting work. Nice co-workers. Great benefits. Great PTO time. Great medical benefits. Extra PTO time due to length of service. The 401k Plan is great. Lot's of new and interesting projects to work on. Great free technical training. Lot's of overtime work but that is usually OK.
I am a dead weight and incompetent that is why I love my job.
@1lmp - you get paid to cook, shop, clean, and drive the kids around. Wells is awesome
Incentive? I'm trying to GTFOH ASAP. The only incentive to stay is if you want to lose your soul and dignity to this hell-hole culture.
I really, really like what I do. I have a great team and we’re doing a lot of cool new things. I’ve also been full remote for years, which allows me the flexibility to watch my kids do the things they love as they grow up.
I like my manager and peers, the job, my reports, the 401k match, etc. Can't think of a good reason to leave, but like all employees in a company that is cutting back, I keep tabs on the job market and my resume ready to roll. Also the idea that "we know it's not..." is ridiculous, plenty of employees stay because of the pay here. Maybe you are getting below market value, but that doesn't mean that everyone is.
Severance benefit. Hoping to be part of lay-off to get one.
I love what I do, but lately, not much incentive to stay...at all!
I work with a group of passionate professionals and the working conditions are comfortable. My manager is good, the pay is fine and I don't want to give up my many PTO days.
A job until you find another one.
I've been here 16 years and here's why I'm not currently looking:
- 30 days of PTO is hard to give up. Not sure what other places offer, but I'm in a job where I can easily use my PTO and give my manager fairly short notice that I'll be taking off 2 weeks if needed.
- Long Term Compensation/Incentives (i.e. restricted shares or RSRs). If you get these, you know what I'm talking about. They vest over 4 years, and since I get them every year, I'd be giving up a good chunk of shares to leave. If I get laid off, they all vest immediately.
- 401(k) matching is pretty good, but does s— that it's done at the end of the year now.
- I actually like my job, manager/team, have been working from home full time for 10+ years, and have a good relationship and reputation within my LOB. Not really interested in starting over at a new place unless I'm forced to.
- I know that all jobs have their ups and downs and I'd just be trading current issues and dislikes for new ones if I left.
- I work in ICS and could easily find a job, probably making more money, but what other tangible benefits would I be giving up?

I like it here but I have a great manager and like the people I work with. Sure the red tape is thick at times but that's anywhere. I have been in enough places to know the grass is not that much greener always.
Those who choose to stay should stop whining. Put your man pants on and deal with it
I live in a small city with not many job opportunities. I would like to try something else but getting another job is difficult and my options are limited due to my location.
I am close to retirement so I stay but almost if not all of the people I know are not confident enough to even try to get out. They are good but somehow they are very fearful of losing their job. It’s like being in an abusive relationship. They are not happy and yet they will put up with anything as long as they can stay. Some of them even say they would even clean the toilets if that is what it takes. Sad but true
Actually I'm still here because if all those things. Pay, benefits, mobility, flexibility.
Having the ability to take nearly a month and a half off while being paid, getting paid well to do something that I actually kind of enjoy after the first 6 months (a first in this company), and having a team that I actually respect and care for.
Not to mention every resume I've sent out has gone unanswered for a while.
I know I’m worth more in the market. However, I like my team and what I do. I also work remote, and that has been an outstanding model and I’ve seen Wells use the fruits of this model in the past to its advantage.
I really enjoy what I do. Number of PTO days and I don’t know too many places that is better than a 6% 401k match (even if it is annual now...)

Acquisition actually with continuance of service which is nice. Companies are buying and selling all over the place these days and layoffs are inevitable regardless of where you work. Unless you're self employed, there's not much job security anywhere.
You are probably one of the oldtimers, since my pay and benefits s—. I'm genuinely happy for you, though.
I get paid well and the bennies are pretty good. Aside from this site, everyone I know is happy enough given the circumstances. I'd be just as happy if they laid me off as well. It's only a job and none of what's happening is under my control so why worry about it.
