I’ve heard a few stories of missing, broken items and some people who have been waiting almost six months and still nothing has been sent to them. I’m sure Covid can be used as an excuse but not that the country is lifting or lifted so much, I’d like to think wells will return stuff. Any experience from people here?

If you work at WF, pack all of your personal belongings and keep them in your car. Leave nothing at your desk you truly need. When and if you’re let go, you won’t need to get anything. When I was laid off I told them to throw away all my awards, why bother? Do I need them to validate myself? Absolutely not!
We’ll let you know how to get your belongings back as soon as someone succeeds at it. I found a few of my personal desktop items in the section 8 alley behind Fisherman’s Wharf.
Back during my 5+ years as a contractor supporting various clients, I always limited my at-work personal possessions to a relatively cheap (and easily replaceable) coffee mug, water bottle and cell phone charger, ergo no big loss if I was invited to leave.
@1tvr+1aZVoLfa - has misstated the most basic fact about displacements - the notice period.
"The notice period is 60 business days. Which means weekends and holidays are not counted in that period." This is incorrect. Notice periods are in calendar days, not business days.
The stuff about "if it wasn't a pandemic" less than two weeks is conjecture - the practice of not letting people go back into the office and having things packed and shipped by a third party has only been in place since last fall - in the pandemic. So you can't say what it was before (since it didn't exist).
For the OP - there have been complaints all over about this. How long it takes - the answer is "it depends" - location, number of people displaced, who the third party is in the location and how backed up they are, etc. This whole process is new and it's uneven.
For sure once people are allowed back in office you will be able to have someone one physically present in your location send your things... you may get them before that if the third party service gets to it.

To OP you are very welcome, you will get your items. If you are able to reach out to you WF manager i would do so in Sept just to make sure you are on the list.
I know that the admins will take care of those that they either supported directly or sat on their floors.

Thank you. If indeed accurate, and it does make sense, I have some new hope I’ll get my stuff eventually and hopefully all of it and in the same condition. Like so many I wad WFH since March of last year but was displaced early in 2021.

If this didn't happen during a pandemic you woujd receive your items right away.
If you were given notice then it would be about two weeks after the notice period ends. The notice period is 60 business days. Which means weekends and holidays are not counted in that period.
If you worked at a building that we vacated during the pandemic unfortunately you will have to wait until we return to the office in Sept.
You can reach out to HR or your WF manager and ask them to help coordinate the return of your items.
Depending on which location you worked from there may be an admin that will be able to assist in returning your items right away.

Right then and there when they lay you off. I had packed my things and taken them home way in advance when I saw it coming.
I left voluntarily in April. I was working from home due to the pandemic, but I had an assigned cubicle prior. I was told if I had any personal items in my cubicle (I didn’t), they would be shipped when employees were allowed to return to offices. So not until the fall sometime.
Several of the long time employees in the branch I worked at had their office set up with personal items. I chose not to do this as the history and recent past and current culture left much to be desired concerning job security.
I had no personal items at my desk during my year tenure and when I was informed of my displacement, a box was all I needed to grab anything that was min and out the door I went.

You've got to be kidding. No company has the right to keep your personal items. You should have taken them with you when you were displaced.
best thing is to work remote, then dont leave stuff in any office and save a lot of money by not commuting; also reduce your risk of catching sicknesses or diseases
Best plan is to not keep any personal property at your desk that you wouldn't mind waiting a few months to get or that could be damaged. The process is completed by a vendor, and they'll get to it when they get to it. I'm sure CPG loves this, they don't want anyone to even have their own desk. Discouraging employees from having personal prop at "their desk" is helpful to their agenda.
I’ve been gone for four months now and still haven’t heard a peep about when my stuff will be returned.
They ship it to you in a large box within a few weeks after your notice.
the official answer i've been given is (paraphrasing) - when they can get to it. The work to pack up and ship your personal possessions is outsourced, and depending on where your office is and how many people and locations were impacted with displacements it will be sooner in some cases and much later in others. Since employees haven't generally been allowed in office for over a year, the thinking goes, you must be able to do without those personal items without too much hardship. Of course the psychological impact of it all for someone who is displaced and has this lingering doesn't factor into it...
There's about 50 times as many people just finding another job as getting laid off here. It's not magic, they likely just put the stuff in a shipping box and mail it to you door. Not rocket science.
You are fortunate to have a place to put personal items. I brought everything home when they forced us to go to flex cubes.
