Steven Seagal, an ex-Navy SEAL, is trying to stop a group of mercenaries, led by Tommy Lee Jones, who have seized a US Navy battleship. This movie is the good guys fighting the bad guys.
Near the end of the movie, Steven Seagal, the good guy, recognizes Tommy Lee Jones, the bad guy, as his former superior officer from prior operations.
Steven Seagal says “All your ridiculous, pitiful antics won't change a thing. You and I, we're puppets in the same sick play. We serve the same master and he's an ungrateful lunatic. There's nothing we can do about it. You and I are the same.”
Tommy Lee Jones says “Oh, no. No. No. No. There's a difference, my man. You have faith. I don't!”
It reminded me of the battles and differences of opinion out here. Some of us have faith in the ungrateful lunatics we work for and some don’t. But we all are, for the most part, in the same position: fighting for our paycheck, a little respect, and the ability to provide security to our families.
