Looks like peeps still latching to this date

I’d be looking externally. Hopping around inside the bank while the axe is still swinging is basically a sad version of Musical Chairs.

The same day they tell you. Nobody knows except those in the nosebleed section and they are not talking.

Is this still a date for an additional round of layoffs? I was told by my manager today to start looking internally for a different position as mine would probably be going away.

@3jni+1aV804hj - what do you think S in ICS stand for? Stupidity?

Please explain. ICS has nothing to do with security to my knowledge

@3bgz+1aV804hj. I see dead wood. Hello there. Still need Charlie to care about you?

You’re reading a lot into a question about a reorg. What exactly is it that you think I said?

@3off+1aV804hj - you are being a bit naive or pretending to be. ICS is all about ‘information’ security. So it is IT first. If you pretend it is really about security, then you should be in corp security - you will be fighting fir survival among people who are ex-Marines and Army. While I don’t deny there is a risk aspect to ICS’ mission, it is all and I would argue, only technology work . Additing security as an afterthought should not have been allowed . Ever.

@3mpz. You need a new shtick. That one is getting old. I find people that complain about dead weight usually can’t hold theirs. Charlie and Saul doesn’t really love you for regurgitating their BS.

People are too busy whining and hating Charlie. Not to mention they have no good skills nor want to work. Collecting paychecks and not working for years hard to give that up. It’s so obvious that Wells has lots of dead weight and its even more obvious that they whine the most and hate Charlie the most

“ What is the grand re-org? I know Security Engineering is coming to Technology, but that is the only announcement I have seen in emails.”

Meaning what exactly? All of ICS gets folded under Technology and subject to doing things the way Technology does things? Or what? I’m in ICS and this is news to me.

If you're not in a HUB city RIP your career @ WF. If you're not working on newer technology, RIP your career @ WF. If you work at a branch, good chance RIP your career @ WF. If your job can be automated(most can), RIP your career @ WF. If your job is in the US and can be replaced by an offshore employee, RIP your career at WF. Do your best to prepare for the upcoming change of employers. If preparation for a change is done right, you can embrace and enjoy the transition to a new employer.

@1fcn Have you seen what our homegrown software solutions look like?

Broken 3rd party software is still lightyears better than the stuff our bottom-of-the-barrel contractors and developers come up with.

That’s all we need, more third party software you have to wait on to fix anything. Great customer experience, that is.

What is the grand re-org? I know Security Engineering is coming to Technology, but that is the only announcement I have seen in emails.

What I don't understand is we are supposed to becoming more agile, yet I have more processes now to follow than I did a few months ago, making it take even longer to get anything done and reducing agility.

Agile will fail here unless Change Management is completely overhauled.

@1lof

Certainly possible. I'm just in favor of them stepping up their pace and getting it over with sooner than later.

@1kgx. Technology has reorged more times in the last three years than you can shake a stick at... or in this case a server. So why would another attempt be successful in this case again. It’s all about shedding jobs and going with third party vendors who don’t have your business interests at heart because they have many customers. But hey everyone else is doing it is their explanation for everything. Problem is they failed at it too in most cases. Forget any original thought or ideas.

Since there are many LOBs in the bank this one is def in the ballpark for Technology. The grand re-org is scheduled for this time frame which MUST include cuts by looking at how fat some of the groups have become due to earlier spans and layers that did not include any meaningful reorganization of the worker bees. Eliminating tiered support and combining man power of all towers into one conglomerate support team of “IT”, it will definitely cause the shedding of some of us coattail riders to the bread lines.
