Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Crazy idea to thwart back-to-the-office

I'm not pro-union, but one issue that could probably be impactful is to pass out flyers to join a union. Schedule union recruitment meetings at WF. While it's possible to create a union workforce with remote employees, face-to-face meetings and associations are much more effective.

Unions take your money for their political and financial gain for those at the very top
Do you not read real news? Ford, GM ditching Ohio and Michigan for Mexico now that Trump is gone (NO, I'm not a Trumper, can't stand the man). Where is the UAW? No where cuz they can't do anything about it. They don't help you when you get laid off, they don't help you when your manager is a POS. They are thieves. Change my mind

Corporations don’t allow unions. It would put a stop to their ultimate power over their employees.

Some unions like the teamsters, yeah, they are out of control. Others like the trade unions have done a lot for their rank and file. Like many things, you can’t paint everything with a broad brush.

@2igb+1aKtK2vw - great post. People can’t have enough of whining and blaming here. Everything is wrong and nothing is right. Hate this, hate that. Endless complaining. Oh, the humanity!

Most of us read this board -- called thelayoff.com -- to hopefully get insights into, you know, LAYOFFS. Not to hear all this whining and blaming.

Leadership is telling everyone (including the media) that return to work will begin in September for those currently working remotely. They don't have it all worked out but NEWSFLASH, most companies don't have a firm plan either. They are easing into it, and making adjustments as necessary.

I left Wells Fargo earlier this year, so it's not like I'm a kool-aid drinker. My new company wants us back one day per week starting in June. After that, it's "we'll see". We're not threatening to unionize over it.

Leadership hasn’t really said what they expect. Why do you think so many people read this board?

OR.... you could put that energy into finding a good job that makes you happy at another company. If leadership expects the majority of employees to start returning to the office in September, you can either comply or move along.

Or you can shout at the rain. Good luck with that.

People who think unions are a good idea or even possible in financial services are simply out to lunch.

Sorry to be blunt but you might as well just quit and move on without severance as that is what will happen to you anyway.

Feel like you’re being forced back into the office and don’t want to be? Go find another job! Oh but I shouldn’t have to, I should have a choice, other companies are doing X, whaaaaa whaaaa whaaaa. Suck it up buttercup like I do or don’t and go get the job of your dreams.

I want nothing to do with unions and gold pinkie ring wearing, $5000 suit strutting union bosses.
