Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The future of Yahoo and AOL employees

I only came to the company in 2018 and I don’t know the details of what happened to Yahoo and AOL employees when Verizon bought these companies. As far as I know, more than 2,000 people from Yahoo were cut back then. What will happen now, will Apollo also go for cuts after the purchase?

Just to be clear, after the 2 years were up, they could be let go. However, there is no severance program at InfoSys. In the area I work in most of the rebadged people are still here.

Just to be clear everyone rebadged to Infosys had a 2 year contract. Most of the people I know are still there, if they chose to stay.

The VMG sale is essentially like when we rebadged much of IT to Infosys. Some people were laid off with severance by infosys at around 6 months. Others stayed.

I imagine the same will happen with Apollo.
