Been with with company almost 9 years. It used to be fun, we used to make money, it used to feel like Verizon cared, Verizon used to want to be a top company to work for. The landscape has changed. Nature of the beast. I suspect I won’t survive the next round of cuts. Just hope Verizon still breaks me off a decent amount. Everything is a façade. Hans is who we thought he was. We now are just another political woke company maximizing gains by shortening staff, paying less and demanding more.

I work in the Deep South and I have not heard ONE CUSTOMER mention how we are "woke", "socialist", or anything of the sort.

Y'all are trippin... People are only switching because their bill is too damn high after we consistently slammed tablets, Hums, TMP MD, VZP, VZ Home, Beyond, then Get More unlimited for Betsy's whole family.

true!!! we use to make so much money and it was awesome, i worked my a** off for 3-4k checks for comm i was a top performer for 6 and a 1/2 years, covid hit turned to team
comm and now i make very little, they said they would give high performers a bump in base salary to “make up for the loss” that was a joke, i barely got anything. I went from 70k a year to 55, i live in the middle of nowhere and theres not much competition other than 1 indirect store. We combined with them and now not only are me making alot less money but now we also allegedly have to be keyholders to? We get added responsiblity now to? My sole purpose in my store is to move boxes and keep the store thriving, which i am an amazing saleswoman and now its useless to even try. Sorry but that 1200 comm check and minus taxes equals maybe 700 ish doesnt even pay my portion of our mortgage. To add now, upgrades dont count for st and now were talking people out of them and/or pushing in store pickups or dfill through their app. Never would I think doing “too much” would hold back my bullst contribution score.... im going to ride this bus til it stops and take severance🤷🏻‍♀️

Working customer care over the summer old people called in bi-----g about donations Verizon made and wanted to cancel service, I had 3 and the team I was on almost everyone had calls like that.

Woke makes old people watching Fox news all day very made.. the they walk

I don’t think Verizon’s wokeness is what is causing us to lose to competitors. I don’t think seniors are sitting around looking at VZ’s culture. What they do care about is being able to shop old school and get exceptional customer service. The premium they pay is worth it to them. As the OP pointed out, now that we’re forcing everyone to self serve, people are simply going to buy based on price. Thanks to some poor decisions in the C suite (spectrum), we’re now on the outside looking in when it comes to perceived network quality. We’re not going to make that up for at least two years until we get 5G speeds running for the average Joe.

The woke culture has ki---d Verizon.

Customers don't like it.

Verizon has the oldest avg age of customer base, they are a generation that is willing to pay more for service. Now they are told to do it on an app, yourself or when they call it is a vendor overseas.

Why would the cash cow customer stick around to pay more. Not to mention that same generation hates a company publicly expressing polical and social issues. Verizon has loudly promoted these causes make even more people run..

Also sadly they are dieing off.

No customers willing to pay you is a problem Hans.. I know it is different in socialist Sweden

Verizon won't know what hit them when they have part timers staffing the stores trying to multitask and piece together the interactions from the cluster of confusion verizon gives as obstacles to us employees. The curtain will be pulled back. Oh the humanity.
