Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

IF I WANTED TO WORK AT CHASE I WOULD HAVE APLIED THERE

Just like many of my peers I applied at Wells because I wanted to work there. Over the years we went thru ups and down and we always came out of it to become better team members and serve our clients. However this time everything is just much different. And I get why the company is doing “cutting cost” pushing “Digital services” etc...

BUT how are we providing our clients a seeming less experience with 1 teller and having the line wrapped around the bank and also 1 banker. Now closing on saturdays and closing for lunch. Due to staffing issues. Meanwhile customers screaming “hire more people” me “ we are firing people” my direct “log the complaints”. Wait what??? Now how does this makes any sense?? It doesn’t. We are not Chase but soon we might as well be called Chase Fargo.

Innovation.... we said that “We want to be leaders in innovation” well I am sorry but we are copy and pasting what other are doing.

At the end of the day nothing will get done and everything will go down as planned if your name is on that email your getting displaced.

Consider some of us are stuck under the thumb of really bad systems with outdated employees, stale mngrs, heavily manual processes and systems that some how can't survive automation or have apps without starting from scratch or suffering catastrophic failure???? Not exaggerating Am I the only unlucky one? Love leaders that come in pushing automation yet under their noses we've been told no can do.

One of the biggest differences is the lack of company-sponsored lovemaking events.

I have the same thoughts. Left Chase for Wells Fargo for a reason, didn’t want to work there again.

You might want to lay off the all caps in the heading if you want people to take you seriously.

The whole world is more modern than Wells Fargo; on the flip side, JP morgan is no where near modern but like I say any company is better than wells fargo.

Pathetic this company is operating like this, a bunch of greed for money where people do next to nothing to get paid for many people.

I feel the same about Wells Fargo. I never applied here. I work here as the result of a merger. At first I thought it would be okay, but that attitude was based on the reputation at the time, not reality.

Now I’m close enough to retirement that I don’t really care what happens. A package would be great, but if that doesn’t happen I can stick it out a little while longer. I do envy people who can be proud of where they work though.

I hated on JP hires at first until I listening to what they had to say. I learned they are so much more modern and efficient than us and they don't have lines around their buildings. Now I want to work there instead of WF
