Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WALKK OUT/CALL OUT APR 30,May 1 and 3

You will get displaced from one day to another your life will change just like that. Do you think the higher ups care about you?? Absolutely not so why should you??? I propose we call out on APRIL 30 MAY 1 and MAY 3. You won’t get fire for calling out and since they are all together it will count as 1 occurrence. Lets show them that “together we can achieve more” we are people that have a family, mortgage, bills that depend on us to work and be there for them and pay the bills. I have seen many of my friends that have been working for the company for many years great people and employees always meeting expectations and to see them go was very disheartening. We need to band together and get this done. Please share this with anyone you know that works at Wells

I’ll save my PTO to use as an adult like when I actually need to call in due to my child being sick or something productive. Not because I’m an ungrateful employee that takes Pto for granted. Most companies don’t give the amount of Pto that Wells Fargo does. If you hate this place so bad, you’re free to quit. Why don’t you?

Who died and left you in charge? Just because you like the whine and cheese here doesn't mean everyone else does. Maybe it's an age thing but the whole 'woe is I' thing often times, comes across as pretty pathetic. Really, if you don't like your job or the paycheck you get every other week, go somewhere else.

Feel free to go start your own “I love Wells Fargo” board. Or how about “Layoffs are Wonderful” board. Another idea would be an “I Don’t Care about Anyone other than Myself” board.

But mostly, feel free to stay off this board.

They have been very clear that they will be letting people go. If this upsets you, feel free to get another position.

First off - I know I wouldn’t do a walk out because I like my manager and I wouldn’t want to do that to him.

But I DO despise nearly everything about Wells Fargo as a corporate entity. Both past and present management are equally terrible in different ways. (I did not choose to come here. I worked for a company that was acquired by WFC).

Having said both those things: I don’t see any reason to insult the OP if he or she is sincere. Other companies have been forced in to making changes to how they treat their employees or how they conduct their business through employee action.

Who are the people who get their rocks off by insulting people on an anonymous forum? Maybe your parents didn’t teach you how to present opposing viewpoints without lobbing schoolyard insults.

This reminds me of when you’re driving your friends around as a teenager, and you’re late, and one of them tells you to drive faster. “If you get a ticket, we’ll all split the cost.”

Dumb idea on many levels, but at least they were friends. I’m gonna follow the lead of an anonymous stranger?

Besides you’ll only be giving leadership more reason to lay you off or fire you.

So much energy spent complaining, casting stones at leadership and pretending you’re Norma Rae (look it up) that you could use for something productive.

looks like Bernie and Elizabeth are out for blood now, they are targeting big companies, if you look the big tech ceo's went after those 2 this weekend due to some recent actions, now bernie and elizabeth going after banks in next few weeks.

yea lets do stuff like this, they treat us this way so now they have to deal with the juvenille behavior. Everyone trying to make their lives easier, while they are trying to make our lives miserable. How is this right? I will join in for sure!

End of month, First of month. Smart. At least this person wants to take a stand. How is this acting like child? I don't get that comment. Personally, I don't see it accomplishing anything. Managers are saving their own skin. No one is going to bat for you at WF. Not a gov agency, not HR, not a single board member they are asking us to vote for and especially not a politician. But you do you. Good luck.

What's next, a simultaneous dropping of our books? Working at a place that is reducing it's work force can be stressful, I get it, but acting like a grade schooler isn't going to accomplish anything.
