I understand we need layoffs as so many people pointed out in several threads so far, but what I don't understand is why they keep cutting people from busy departments that are already struggling with workload? You can't tell me that's "getting rid of the fat." That's more just padding the numbers at the cost of performance - which really doesn't help WFC one bit in the long run.

we have some tech secretary in infosec who pretends like he is an executive, clearly he is not. He does not understand security nor technology. I was going to tell Chainsaw he can can this dude too. I dont think he is a fat cat, but he is one heck of a loser!

I have a manager who is always creating unnecessary busy work. Several people challenge it (higher up) but still bow and do it like scared sheep. It adds ZERO value. My peers and I are so frustrated they can't see how silly and inefficient it is. Then, the same manager tells us to do more with less. The height of hypocrisy. Its do as I say, not as I do, failed leadership.
“Busy” adding value or “busy” doing something that adds no value.
I know a team that is very busy. But they support a ridiculous process that basically just requires people to fill out a form.
This “busy” team makes sure the form was filled out to their liking, and then forwards the form to another team who does the work

Inefficiency like that is everywhere and it can make teams busy. But the whole process needs to be cut and those teams need to be let go
They want to send these jobs to overseas.
