p-ss-d about being laid off? remember this one thing.....

A lot of folks were gifted shares of Wells Fargo a few years ago.
You are part owners and therefore can vote on items.

So you try to suppress voting to keep the public from having a voice. Typical wire thinking.

@ljc

Not sure how you work in banking without understanding this, but your shares are not "worthless", they are worth what someone will pay you for them, roughly $39/share recently. And no, you can't go back in time and sell at a high, or at a low, that's not how markets work. Sure WFC was at $60 a share at one point, but it was also worth $23 even more recently...we should all be glad it's recovered as much as it has, because the worse it performs the worse it will be for all of our jobs.

If you are a shareholder you should support lay offs

Too many slackers around here pulling salaries and adding no value for it

I’m going to ask for Charlie to step on the gas

You’d be better off making sure the Street knows just how bankrupt this company is on the efficiency front.

Your vote may not count for much, but as a shareholder, you should be able to speak at the annual meeting. Show up and be heard.

The top 10 owners of WFC control 30% of the float.

  1. 5% of the float is controlled by institutions.

CEO gets to vote any shares owned by the company.

Good luck organizing a campaign that can change the status quo via share votes.

50 votes is completely useless. You have no power to sway any vote. Even if you combined all the employees who still have those shares, plus all their 401k shares and had everyone vote together it would still be a fruitless vote.

Institutional ownership accounts for 70% of the shares held...They have the power.

I have a few shares and always vote, but unless some insider higher ups or institutional investors were on board nothing is passing that the board doesn't want to pass. Those guys and their friends have zillions of shares/votes.
