I know of 1 manager in Home Mortgage default servicing who just got laid off.
@1pca yes, the displacement team seems to be screwing things up, yet again. I understand that there's a lot of ins/outs in this process and it's not as simple as many think, but for Fs sake, how can you tell people, in writing, that the notice period begins the day they get their package, and then not get the package to them for 24-48 hours AFTER the scheduled notification date? Is it really that hard to send an email? I know there were a lot of layoffs yesterday, but if they can't process that many, they shouldn't be doing that many at once. To much risk. If I was reviewing the displacement team, they sure as hell wouldn't "meet" expectations.
Guys...I got LAID today :)
Does anyone receive the displacement package at the time you were notified today. I have not received it so far. This is not a normal practice.
F— Charlie. Top sales person let go.
Which site? Post the link pls.
This is crazy - and the number of open jobs on the site is getting larger and larger each day.
manager called me and said your fired! is that normal?
To all who posted, thank you for sharing the business group or location. I wish all those who were layer off the best of luck in whatever you chose to do.
I got layed off too
Concord Ca hit hard 200 people in contact center and ops
Lots of corporate communications along with marketing. More to come too.
Admins in CIB
Marketing hit HARD today. Names of displaced people across footprint, roles, ages, locations are coming through my IMs.
What positions were eliminated in marketing? Managers or ICs?
How were the branches impacted? What roles specifically?
@rkb+1a20iFu4 just don’t post from your work computer.
Is this really anonymous as I have some things to say
Two of the very best partners I work with were let go today, both in tech/data roles. They both brought such huge value to helping us get projects completed, knew their way around our crazy, labyrinthine, frustrating systems. I feel horrible for them, and also worry about who will help my group moving forward in their respective areas,
Yep... I got it today
Will we still be forced to use the In House Agency after today? Those Marketing Mavins were pretty sure they were safe.
Crazy - I know of a team of 8 that was laid off today because their function is being moved to India. The team was based mostly in Des Moines but had a couple in Charlotte. However, 7 of the 8 people are actually Indian-American! Their only crime was living in the US and getting paid more for their work.
Best wishes to everyone impacted. As for those whose jobs got sent to India, same on them for doing that to American workers. Make sure you let your representatives know about it.
Yes definitely, lot of layoffs today.
When NAFTA was originally passed, there were provisions built in to help employees displaced when their jobs were moved to Mexico (first year or two). My wife was displaced and provided temporary financial assistance, as well as education benefits. We were looking south of the border, when we should have been looking west across the Pacific.
UAT operation being "moved to India". In quotes because that's the exact phrase the manager used in the org announcement meeting. Many UAT layoffs stateside. Do they have grounds for a lawsuit when it's no secret that their jobs were moved offshore?
For those impacted, are you seeing targeted cuts, 'job title cuts', or full sites being shut down?
Confirmed - Marketing has been impacted in a big way today
Marketing get hit today?
Yes definitely, lots today across many LOB's.
Yep just got laid off. they came back around for the bigger branches this time
Not yet, the rumors tell us it will be a bloodbath....
L&D is going to be hit hard today
Yes, there are layoffs today.
