Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF being sold?

3 years ago, there was a speculation that WF might buy a credit card company who holds premier brands. Now same company should buy WF.

A hamburger with every loan! Come in the branch for a burger while doing your business. At the teller window, do you want fries with that? All kinds of marketing possibilities.

No non-bank is interested, and no bank would be allowed by regulators to buy WFC because their resulting market share would be too large. With the size WFC is, in assets, it essentially can't be bought. Sure, if a zillionaire outside banking wanted to buy it, they could, but zillionaires that want a bank just found one or they buy one that is smaller and running really smoothly / has no regulatory issues.

When a bank gets as large as WF, it buys other banks, not the other way around. The only exception is a total failure / bankruptcy / breakup, but WFs balance sheet is very strong and no where close to that scenario. So yes, threads like this are trolling / uninformed nonsense.

Duh OP, it’s obvious that if anyone ever buys Wells it will be Wendy’s...

The first 2 letters in each name match perfectly. Makes complete sense

I always submit these type of questions to townhalls and they're never read.

The weekly "X company is going to buy Wells Fargo" thread is a boring troll.

WtF used to be Big, used to be Fine, used to be Trusted.
Security Guards on every mall corner, every sc-ap metal yard, Pak-a-Saks.
Security Guards is the business of WtF.

Why'd they get into other areas of business they knew nothing about?
I dunno.
