@2svc+19w3BzqE you are right Selenium is an antioxidant. it is also a collection of open source APIs which are used to automate the testing of a web application. The test scripts can be written in languages such as Python, C#, Java, Ruby, Pearl, etc. So yes we do need some Prevagen to take first in order to learn all this in 32 hours.

There have been many, many former team members from my group who have quit and left for another job, either with another company or for some job in another Wells Fargo department after having to work days, nights and weekends for very extended periods of time. This is what happens to the experienced employees who become overwhelmed by too much long term forced overtime work. They are surely much happier now in their new jobs!
Learn Selenium in 32 hours? Selenium is a herbal vitamin product. Perhaps you should find a source of Prevagen first?

I’d laugh if it wasn’t involving peoples careers. Do you think you can learn Java and Selenium in 32 hours? Not all at once, mind you, an hour or two at the most at a time. Really? They are just setting up folks to fail doing it this way.
Anyone who doesn’t think this is just another way to get rid of people are kidding themselves.
Audit leadership put it in writing to employees that working more that 40 hours a week is the expectation. It’s not 12 hour days but to meet their required utilization rates, it’s a minimum of 45 hours but more closely aligned to 50 hour weeks.
Then again, that’s kind of the life of an auditor. The problem is Wells expects Big 4 style work and commitment without any of the perks of working in the Big 4.

On SVB's call last week he said we get 40 hours per year. 8 for compliance and the usual stuff plus 32 for 'upskilling'. Not sure where you're getting your info from but in might be outdated.
over in security, I'm lucky if I have 20 hours of REAL actual work to do... This does not include attending meetings which are not work.
No one respects your work hours or your personal time. We have been told to upskill on our own time even though the company is demanding it. If they want us to train, they need to free time for it. But they want it both ways, train and do our other job at the same time. Not everybody has that kind of time outside work.
I’m expected to be available ANY time my manager has a question, comment, need, or just feels lonely. I have been screamed at for neglecting to answer my phone on a Sunday morning when I failed to hear it ring in my purse at the grocery store.
He doesn’t have seven direct reports, and becomes more erratic every day. Hopefully this won’t go on much longer.
It is not SO bad to have to work over the paid only for 40 hour work week as long as one is allowed to telecommute. However people have to make and eat dinner, take care of kids and pets, wash the dishes, do the laundry, pay the bills, put the garbage out, clean the house, etc. We do NOT all have maids, cooks and gardeners to do our chores while working late each day. With the addition of a two hour + commute back and forth from an office location that leaves very little time for one's personal business and chores. What can they expect from an employee? Work/life balance. Huh?
I'm expected to stay late on any day that needs it, to put out whatever the dumpster fire of the day is. Since I'm not salary I'm expected to try to flex it. I hate never knowing if I'll be allowed to leave on time on any given day. The work life balance doesn't exist here, WFH or not.
I’m expected to work 8 hours per day and 40 a week, but like most these days, I am doing about 6 hours per day and 30:per week.
I'm only expected to work 40, but I often work 50 to get the OT. I don't feel pressured and can skip extra hours when they don't work for me. I do like the extra money and don't mind the extra hours during a time when there isn't much else to do. If I was salary, I would feel very different.
I'm not expected to work 12 hours a day but often I will work 9 or so.
I work 20 hours so the OP can work 60

This is a growing issue in the company. For the past 2+ years, I have worked no less than 60 hours per week. Closer to 80 hours most weeks. PTO days are Pretend Time Off. We need jobs so we do it, but this is abusive.
No question. Anyone who is on salary knows this game and Wells Fargo is leveraging this mess they created to not only get rid of people but then expect those who they haven’t got rid of yet, who they gave low ratings to, to work even more hours so they can bring that rating up. Everything is so flawed right now.

I've worked over 12 hours, many times. I don't know if WF 'expected' it, but the situation demanded it. Not all jobs are 9-5.
