Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

People, respect Fridays as quiet working days

Don't schedule Friday meetings. Whatever it is can wait until Monday. (No really, it can.)

Avoid IMing people for any reason. It's Friday. Let the day be a nice quiet heads-down working day. You can wait until the following week to kiss your boss's rear end.

Save your emails and phone calls for Monday. Or Tuesday. We're not saving lives here. It's a bank.

In this industry, east coast runs the show. Anything outside of that time zone is just along for the ride. The bright side is that you can shut her down early local time

"Useless conversations " @1vmw+19uVFFBy, sometimes there's nothing to report so I don't mind the chatter. Not everyone has information on layoffs that is accurate anyway.

@sys+19uVFFBy I especially love the east coast schedules 6 am west coast time recurring meetings every week, That's so fun. Yes I know we have a large India team, but are 50 ppl needed on a 6am call 3 times a week - probably not...

This forum has gone from providing valuable insight about potential layoffs to useless conversations which don’t add any value.

I work with an account executive who constantly schedules meetings at noon because "that's when everybody is available". The lunch hour is now the meeting hour. I don't care now that we're working from home but when we were in the office we usually got NO time to eat all day. That snack machine got a lot of traffic, but there's only so many days a week one can make a meal out of potato chips and kit-kat bars.

@yka+19uVFFBy If 100 miles an hour all of the time is k–ler you should try a bank with tech mired in 2020, not 1990. You have no idea how s l o w w I it I I s s s at Wells

I love the Friday 4 pm meetings on a three day weekend on issues that are not critical. Usually scheduled by someone on the west coast LOL

And people wonder why they are getting laid off. they only want to work four days a week. The more appropriate rule should be no meetings past 3 or 4

I know right. Why can’t we get every Friday as a bank holiday?

Also, does anyone know why they stole my bonus? I work really hard(‘ish) from mon-thurs

I so agree with OP. They act like everything is life and death. It's a bank, not an ER (Emergency Room).
