Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

International Wealth Managment

Looks like banks waiting to scoop up Advisors in Wealth management.

Also if anyone here in tech has current skills, you an at minimum double your pay and work only the 40 hour weeks. Companies out there are dying for good tech employees.

The place seems to not want employees from all the signs. Thats ok as other companies are dying for American workers, not foreign as is risky as they dont follow US law.

Never let a crisis go to waste. Pay close attention to what CF & BD say, but pay more attention to what their hands do.

Opportunity to learn from the masters, children.

Latin American money is a hot topic for regulators and Wells just doesn't want the risk. A lot of other brokerages have exited the business as well

Also, if your friend is only bringing home 32%, they aren't very successful.

I have friends in wealth management and they work on commission - 68% to WF and they get 32% and their customer list is worth a ton of money. Seems odd to lay them off. This has nothing to do with tech though.

@ipu+19uTkYLi, the companies looking are all of them FAANG, uber, etc etc

then all the regular business, but they dont want tech secretaries or people who add no value; even all the banks hiring in areas that are current –> areas like theses –> AI, Blockchain, Cloud, Data and Security; this is a good start.

Dont go in there saying u use spell check and get cr's approved, this is process/secretary work not tech work.

I'm an international advisor and am having a blast finding a new home. I get paid to leave and then get a bonus to join another home. It's actually a wonderful thing they didn't sell the business.

Tech Secretary here, I see this issue:

"Me thinks you know nothing about the Wealth business."
should be
"I think you have incredible knowledge about the Wealth business"

Never use "Me thinks"

B W made the call. J H didn't like and allegedly tried to resist but he lost. J H is weak. His 30 year old picture needs to go too

Can you be so kind as to list out a few of these tech companies who are so desperate for talent that they will double our pay?

Also, what skills specifically are they looking for?
