Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Last day was the fifth of February. No bonus in this check and hours docked

Is this common? I worked the full final quarter, and yet got no bonus, and it looks like they docked me approximately 25% of my pay. Do I need to call HR? It's worth noting it was voluntary resignation and not a termination.

Your specific statement of working the full last quarter could imply you did not work the full previous three quarters but I’ll assume you were clarifying that you worked the entire full year. Bonus’ are completely discretionary. Regardless of if you earned it or not, you essentially gave up claim to it by leaving.

Long version, the company legally owes you nothing in this situation. You could argue morally your management/WF owes you this $ if ANY money had been allocated to be paid to you. The flip side is why reward someone who has left an employer? That $ has been returned to the pool and allocated out to those who stayed. Despite what some may think or say these monies aren’t stolen, your manager can’t take it for his own nor will he get some sort of perk or bonus for saving it for WF. Standard big business accounting, if it’s not spent they won’t get it next year.

People are surprised they didn't get a bonus when they weren't here on payout?

I did take pto. That is a likely explanation. I'm still confused about the bonus as I worked the quarter, met metrics, and yet it's not present in the check. I'm waiting on a call from HR but I'm expecting it to be withheld for one reason or another.

Did you take a week of PTO in January? Maybe they clawed some of it back if you hadn’t accrued the PTO hours taken?

I got ripped off too!

No bonus and not my present pay in check, but like the manager kept some of it

If you were getting a bonus, you'd have received a call from your manager and an email telling you what percentage of what you're eligible for you received. Also, I thought you need to be employed full time from July 1st to be eligible. Did anyone tell you that you were getting a bonus?

That’s why you never resign until the bonus hits your bank account.
