WIMT has perfect project going on now to demonstrate commitment to automation. The project affects thousands of nonhuman computer accounts. Executive leadership could direct "tech managers" of various multi-discipline teams to work together to design a repeatable automated solution but they didn't do that, instead they let these "tech managers" act like the bureaucratic admins the are as they continue to rely on the same old slow tired convoluted manual change process. But it keeps hundreds of tech secretaries employed so there's that.

I appreciate that he shares what he can, much more than an other oc member ever does. The recognition of the tech talent component and impact of potential location/remote strategies, was a relief at least!

haha. qa is the one that has been writing the automation scripts historically sooooo... yeah, that should really continue.. NOT... lets face it, QA is a failed concept so why should we continue?

@vge+19uFQ4Kx, It appears that there will be Application Developer roles and also Automation Engineer roles.
Application Developers will code, while Automation Engineers will perform Unit Testing, Acceptance Testing, and UAT.
QA Analysts that do not up skill will be canned sooner or later. The alarm bells have been rung.
The transparency in this case is a welcome development. I'm sure that current QA analysts appreciate it.
