My time at Wells came to an end from getting the cut/layoff and I was always thinking it would be avoided as everyone would just rally around me. Thing is it doesn't work this way but would like to think if you got their backs they got yours and your all in this together. Seems everybody there so scared and just scrambling to save their own jobs. The truth is people value their own jobs over humanity and this is why getting canned/layoffs work as people can just rip friendships and relationships apart in workplaces. Nobody says a thing about it and nobody questions it. Even your manager always say that they are supporting you and seemed to care but that was fake too. This is all just a pretend show for these people to keep their jobs and maintain their appearances.
The workplace is just an exchange of your time for money. It is as simple as that, if you were to look for anything deeper than that then just be aware it will be built on a pretty weak foundation there. Nothing wrong with having some light conversations and best to leave it at this.
In the end I already have a new job that I am starting first week of March, as have been looking through dec and jan. but did not tell them nor had i resigned yet. Will this affect the package they are giving out? Like free money!!
