According to a article from fierce publications concerning the wireless industry. In the article states Verizon along with most carriers are downsizing retail employees. Verizon will be rolling theirs out in three phases starting in January 2021. Completed by June 2021 with all corporate Verizon retail stores with one solutions manager and sharing a general manager with another retail location.

No longer need to sign for phones bought online. Box was dropped off by Fedex. IPhone12 Was waiting for me when I got home. Eazy Peezy Lemon Sqeezy.
So again I can’t disagree that more changes are to come but that article just told me everything I already know.. actual waste of time!
Buying a phone through the mail is just a hassle. You have to be home to sign for it. Curbside from the store is far superior.

I too prefer buying my new Verizon phone online, using Verizon.com vs going into a Verizon store. Now keep in mind , dot.com has many bugs and errors sometimes, but Id rather use the online chat or call Care to solve an ordering issue, vs. dealing with Store rep or manager. .
This makes total sense. I haven’t been inside a Verizon store , to buy anything, in over 10 years. As a Apple iPhone owner since 2010, Ill check out the latest iPhone at my local Apple Store, then buy my Verizon iPhone on Verizon’s dot.com site.
