I'm tired of hearing forced rankings. All perfoyis not equal. Thus, what is forced? BTW - I'm a sr level manager with 160 employees. No push back on any of my ratings. No one forced me to rank differently and I didn't my leaders either. Stop crying dnd start performing. Recognize on any given year some will outperform others. Those that did not meet expectations are being managed out.

It means that you are underperforming in your role and you need to start meeting the expectations of your job in the next few months or you don’t need to worry about being displaced. You will be fired. Take some accountability for yourself.

I would advise starting with simple grammatically correct sentences and work up from there to the meaning which you intend to convey.

Writing is on the wall. Bank needs to get rid of headcount which supposedly is 20%, but I bet it's more. Based on the curve, 60 meets, 20 exceeds, 20 below. When they start laying off, terminating it will now be the 20 below that go first. Next it's cherry picking time of the 60 that meets to get the numbers down even more. The 60's need to hope that when q3-4 comes around that some of the asset caps have been removed, if not chop, chop. Since aug, 12k have been let go, do the math, long way to go. Anyone that didn't get meets or above really needs to look for other employment.

If you are asking, it would indicate you already know the answer to your question.

No it means exactly that, no bonus and no raise. Its a call sign, find another job. They don't want to pay you out a severance package, and you don't want to be hunting while unemployed, if your hunting unemployed lets just say, it makes you look less attractive.

It means you're part of the problem and need to leave. Otherwise, you'll get terminated not laid off - big difference

Remember these were FORCED stacked rankings.

These only work in environments where people are required to be there, like SCHOOL. in those environments, there should be a normal bell curve.

In an employment environment, people at the lower end of the bell curve would never have been hired in the first place. Hence there is no such thing as a "normal" bell curve in companies ranking employees.

Sure, there may be people who deserved lower rankings, but based on the environment at WF and what we've heard from our leadership, discussions were had and managers were 'forced" to rank people at 1's and 2's to normalize the curve, to balance out the "high" rankers.

FORCED STACKED ranking has been proven to hurt women and POC disproportionately. If you don't believe me, look up the well-proven studies yourself.

Microsoft, Google, Uber, and GE have stopped the practices, mostly after suits were brought against them.

If you are a woman or POC, contact an attorney.

It depends on if your job is bonus eligible, but your manager is a better person to ask this question to then an anonymous message board.
