Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Job Searching to get out of WFAM before the ship goes down...

I have been actively job searching and networking to get a job before I get laid off in Wells Fargo Asset Management. So far, I haven’t had any luck landing another job outside of Wells. Anyone else doing an active job search? How is it going? Any luck landing something else? Thanks

Are most of your just holding tight and waiting to see what happens, or are you taking the pro-active job search approach?

@ijm+19eb0Q5G Internal listing and interviews are for shows, actual hires are all their buddies or people in their clique. You didn't know that? lol

@1kog+19eb0Q5G I think it goes review>screen>interview (then offer/hired?)

Since when wasn’t banking a 3,000 hour year job?

There’s a reason why you become exempt (from overtime) almost immediately if you show any promise at all in your first year.

What’s the next application status after “review” status? Or does it stay there until youre declined Or hired?

thing is based on state of the company, instead of throwing more americans into unemployment, they are going to need to cut salaries on top levels. Govt just bail out all the airlines again to avoid mass unemployment from those companies.

Wells is going to have to fix itself from top down until country gets things under control. That means cutting ceo and exec's salaries to fix these issues until the country can get some level of recovery. Otherwise, keep them under consent orders as they are not working for America, and hopefully they can sell this company off by breaking it up to companies that know how to run a business.

Because they can lay-off people hired during the good times who have higher salaries and replace them with younger people who they lowball with lower salaries.

all the jobs are fake jobs;

what kind of company would lay off 60k people during a country with 2 million people already in unemployment, then hire from the outside

Internal listing is a joke. All my applications are sitting in review status. Time to try outside.

Yes. Every day looking but I have cometely given up on internal listings.

My experience has been 1 interview for every 75 apps and 1 offer for every 300 to 400

I've gotten other job offers, but they also have their issues. One offer I got stated I was obligated to work Saturdays and Sundays as needed and that their average workweek was in excess of 45 hours per week, as if they own you. It was a nice offer, but I ultimately declined. I don't desire to go from one Sh– Show to another Sh– Show, even for more money. Sadly working anywhere anymore is not what it used to be. Good luck! It's a b–ch out there.

Same. I get up early and search. I don't see many jobs. When I do and I apply, I don't hear back but I still keep going. I don't know if I will find anything before the axf falls, but I still keep looking around.
