Boss just changed our monthly 1:1 meeting from Friday 2/12 to Tuesday 2/9.
He's never moved it forward in the couple years I've been here.
Possible layoff?

Actually, I have seen that happen at another large company I worked for. Manger changed the one-on-one date for two team members...both got canned.
At least you have a 1:1. My boss doesn’t believe in them, but he has 40 directs after the great purge of managers so I can’t really blame him.
You're fine. You wouldn't get a meeting invite until the day of if you're getting displaced.

Get out of here with this nonsense. I move my biweekly 1:1s with my direct reports frequently due to other obligations or when I have PTO.

monthly 1:1, is that normal for most folks? I have weekly 1:1s with my manager and schedule weekly and or biweekly 1:1s with my employees. guess I should switch them to monthly and get the time back

Yes, definitely. Anytime your boss has a meeting conflict and has to adjust your 1:1, it means you are being fired or laid off.
