2/22 is the date in my area....
Attrition is the best possible kind of downsizing, at least it's voluntary and at the time of the person's choosing (often when they have found a new place to work). We should all be praying for as much attrition as we can get, it will save other's jobs.
Severance Chainsaw has set aside thus far calculates out to about 10,000 employees. They will continue everywhere in small increments to avoid WARN notices but there is bound to be larger layoffs like the Richmond one just announced along the way. Remember that the threat of layoffs is a very real tactic to create attrition. Just go on the BONY layoff site and read, you'll see.
Is Marketing going to be impacted on 2/23?

Since you all seem so confident about 2/23 .. what locations?? What departments??
@qyf I realize that many have been fed bad information in the past. I take no pride in knowing that 2/23 is going to be a tough day for a lot of people.
you know the percentage of team member they will cut this year? 10%?
The whole extra worker c-ap you spew every day is getting old. Those roles were there for a reason. I hope you are still around when the house of cards come crashing down.
they are re-orging the tech groups, most of these extra workers will be layed off following
We have heard the sizable cuts thing before. Most will take that with a few grains of sodium.
2/23 is the next date. Cuts will be sizeable.
