Another uninspiring Monday morning. What will the week bring for WF People?! More layoffs? Sounds like it.
Who's tired of this environment of no support, being told to do more with less, and nobody having your back? I am trying to either get a new role (no leadership, incapable manager I report to and bored out of my freaking mind in current role) or GTFOH altogether (probably better). Have two external interviews and am under consideration for at least a dozen internal roles that I'm well qualified for, but probably will only get interview for 1 or 2 due to location politicking. They don't care about retaining, engaging, or challenging motivated, capable people one iota. I'm just another warm body here, a dot on an org chart. I get it.
So instead of focusing on the business of the week, I'm focused on an exit strategy. This is what weak, ineffective leadership cultivates - less engagement and people having one foot out the door.
