I heard from a very reliable source that Internal Audit will be experiencing layoffs this week. Would appreciate it if anyone can comment on what they know as well if they have heard what groups will be/were hit.

Plus, its one of the biggest inefficiences in the bank. These people beat a dead horse on testing until its dead again, after 1st or 2nd line validation teams, who were former auditors, did their testing.
I was told C.S. thinks Internal Audit is overstaffed. I used to work in Internal Audit. It went from 500 ppl to over 1,400 in 5 years. Insane.
Sounds like someone is having weekly conversations with their manager due to the lack of quality of their work... :D
It is about time Internal Audit did some serious housecleaning.
