Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

A ethnicity audit would expose the export of jobs to india

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/citigroup-wells-fargo-bank-of-america-urge-shareholders-to-vote-against-racial-equity-audits-11616026865

If you own shares in this company as an employee AND you are sick of seeing jobs go to india, here is your one BIG chance to vote for change.

A racial audit would expose the b—s—tery these mega banks have been doing to their employees.

@2ujs. You know that for every sell of stocks there is a buy right? And WFC is now trading at 40s way up from 20s. What does it mean?

uhhh, how could a shareholder NOT be holding stock? If they sell they are no longer a share holder soooo, yeah. In any case people that bought wells in the 20s are pretty happy with the stock right now and there's zillions of shares owned by tons of people, your premise is clearly false.

This is a pretty ignorant and racist thread – but you have every right to speak. I'm wondering about a mixed race person, do they have to put down what percentage? Sounds like a shakedown rather than hiring by merit.

I think you're missing the whole point here. An audit would not be looking at outsourcing. They'd be looking at 'racial injustice' right here at home. Are minorities who are employed locally earning comparable wages to whites? Do they have the same opportunities for advancement etc.?

I personally can't see how this has anything to do with the strategic / tactical plans for the bank and will be voting no on this one. No one is served well by dragging social issues into the board room. The bank is plenty committed (if lip service equals commitment) to social issues so let's leave it there and get on with the business of growing the business. Just my 2 cents worth.

Face it, the corporations don’t want the public to know the real story on the imports they have been doing the last 20 years in their quest for cheap labor. But that has been the history, from blacks to Chinese to now Indians. Don’t pay the worker a fair wage, exploit them and count their profits.

Do they care that these people don’t contribute to our economy any more than necessary and put that money to work back home or to retire on? Heck no. Do they care that they are essentially traitors to their own countrymen? Heck no.

I have no problem with the Indian people, a few of them are friends of mine. I would come here too. I blame the elite for perpetuating this for decades now.

While we're discussing Indians, let me tell you a story.

My white(ish) parents kicked me out at 17 for being queer. I ended up escorting to survive and had to live in the ghetto. My neighbor was an Indian man from Guyana. When he heard my story he said "you're my son now" and made me every meal the entire time I lived there so I would at least not have to sell myself to eat.

So... I like Indians a lot more than my own people. The more the merrier.

I don't enjoy the offshore teams. The onshore teams though... omg. Diwali. Need I say more?

lol, you need to understand the woke minds of current NY leadership. They don't care that the audit would "expose" their hiring in India, it would "expose" that there's still "too many" white people working at Wells Fargo. That's what they are trying to hide and are embarrassed by. Character, drive, and skills don't matter, it's all about hiring and promoting people with the right physical characteristics, and too hell with the 'undesirables' from which there's never a quota to hire.

Plus Indians are basically white. They have Caucasoid skeletons, speak an Indo-European language, and even won a federal appeals court case saying that they had to be allowed into the US in the 19th century under the "whites only" immigration law.

The Supreme Court, being more racist, overruled them though, saying that they were white, but not white enough.

I have enjoyed my 25 years working with India teams, off shore and domesticated via H1B Visas. It is true that they generally do not have comparable skills to the U.S. and that their culture does not respect women as leaders or encourage initiative or decision making.

However, many of them rise above these issues and absolutely flower when they experience self determination outside of the caste system. I’m not naive, I understand the trade offs and the financial loss. Still, I would not trade anything for many of the lessons which they’ve taught me and I in turn have taught them.

Step outside of your box San Fran sicko... be tolerant and receptive, as the rest of the U.S. do for you.

Personally, I don’t mind WFC being forced to be straightforward and honest on any and every topic.

This is used by Woke crowd in a push to explode companies and shake them down for more handouts. No shareholder in their right mind would vote yes on this.
