I am tired of this environment. I developed anxiety because of the constant threat of layoff. Therefore, just thinking about moving to a buy side. Is it really that hard to move from WF to a buy side firm?

Well, you don't seem to have any cajones, so what makes you think another company wants someone that can't handle the pressure?
The folks in SF should have no problem going to the bay side!
Depends on what exactly you will be doing. Most of the positions on a buyside firm are more analytical than a sale side.
